Leann withdrew herself from the life. She was just a child and she felt had no control over her life or her life choices. She still sings. She just sings when and where and what she wants to. She’s happy with her life and where she is. I’m so happy for her.

Lee Ann Rimes is definitely an underrated Singer. Her voice is amazing and I wish she put out more music.

Good for you in guessing that the Sun was the incredible LeAnn Rimes. Years ago, when I first heard her hit "Blue," when she was only 14, I could have sworn it was an old Patsy Cline recording that had just resurfaced. The thing about LeAnn is, though, that she can sing anything, I have heard her live twice. I have lived in Nashville all my life, so I heard her once with our incredible Nashville Symphony, and twice, once actually this month, at the world famous Ryman Auditorium for her Christmas Special. I wish she had sung the "Story,' because it is amazing, and of course, when I heard her performance as Sun on the "Masked Singer," I downloaded LeAnn 's recording of that amazing song, Among many Christmas songs this last show, though, she did sing "Blue," and "How Do I Live." LeAnn has been through a lot, from being a child singer and performing a ridiculous amount when other kids were being kids, to suing her father, her manager, for misappropriation of her funds, to the scandal of her affair with Eddie Cibrian. You are right. She is human and she and Eddie met and fell in love. The good news is that, 13 years later, they are still together. LeAnn said recently in an interview, that now, she will not longer sing anything she does not want to sing, and that while this may not make her a commercial success, it makes her happy. Thank you for your video. I will continue to buy tickets whenever LeAnn performs in Music City, She is amazing, and hearing her when accompanied by our world class symphony was an amazing experience. At the Ryman, she was only accompanied by a three piece band, but her incredible voice rose to the rafters. Like you, I am now listening to more of LeAnn's music, including her Christmas album.

Hi! I really enjoyed this reaction - I enjoyed LeAnn's voice way back in the day and rediscovered just how good she is thanks to "The Story" (one of my favourite songs, and when i found her cover of it I was blown away). That led me to watch clips of The Masked Singer (I have never seen the show in full, not really a thing in my part of the world!) and what made me really happy was seeing LeAnn's personality show through - I feel like having The Sun persona really helped her perform without pressure. She comes across as a very deeply caring and sensitive person who also struggles with confidence and judgement in her public projection. But when she's singing she's completely confident. "The Story" is the perfect song for LeAnn (and written by Brandi Carlile, an amazing artist) - for LeAnn it seems to take on an extra depth of meaning given how the industry and the public have treated her across her career (as a teenager she was financially taken advantage of, and later during her marital transition the pearl-clutching was at an all time high. People separate and re-marry all the time world over, it doesn't define who she is). I think she is one of the best singers out there, she's honed her incredible talent and her voice now has more warmth and soul than ever before (and her lower register has matured a lot). I've never heard anyone have anything but the utmost praise for her live performances - she reminds me of Karen Carpenter in that she is always accurate and consistent with her pitch and placement. I wouldn't be surprised if she was a 'one take wonder' in the studio as well. If ever she tours somewhere I'm able to attend, I'd love to see her live.

Great reaction. There has never been a better Masked Singer. There never will be one better, or close....Whitney, Ella, and Karen Carpenter are singing in Heaven; doubt Mariah will share a stage with Nick, and Christina, Ariana and the others are too self actualized, so to speak. That said would love for Carrie Underwood to give it a whirl. I had little to no knowledge of LeAnn before viewing this tv show. Wow she blew me away each performance and now LOVE Her! Her cover of Jailhouse Rock, Lulubye, etc...she can stop anyone in their tracks with that God given talent. Again, great reaction and good health to all onboard here....

She was amazing. Every song she did killed and her version of The Story was, imo, better than the original Brandi version. LeAnn made you feel everything she was. Amazing stuff- every song she did was magical, like Stevie Nicks-magical.

LeeAnn Rimes is an amazing singer and you are right, her personal life choices should not be held against her. WE are not living her life---what she did may have been the best for all concerned. If she wasn't happy and is now, that is key, and it would not have been fair to keep in a marriage and be dishonest or squash it all inside. Long past time to move on.

She is even more amazing now than when she was young. Im surprised she isn't huge news and world tours still. She is amazing.

Fantastic reaction and totally agree, she is way underrated. What people do in their private lives shouldn't tale from their talent. I thought she was the best singer on the Planet, but now I believe the 2nd best, because Angelina Jordan took that spot. A short time before she left her husband for a married man, LeeAnn accepted a music award. When she gave her acceptance speech, she bragged that she was one of the few entertainers who didn't cheat on their spouse or get into drugs or alcohol. Then she cheated on her husband and broke up her lover's marriage. The press was HARD on her, and the country music community shut her out. When it all died down, her career momentum was gone, and she has never been able to get it back. I think she has one, if not the, best voice ever. I love her voice so much. I believe had she not bragged, life might have been a little easier for her, but I don't know.

The Sun Masked Singer

Sun is probably my favourite batch of performances on the masked singer, both USA and UK versions. This introduced me to the Billie Eilish song, and the original does nothing for me but Leann Rimes' version moves me. Not quite to tears, not that great a performance or anything. No... that's reserved for her rendition on The Story. Every freakin time it gets me.

Not all 'singers' are professional. Could be almost anyone in the news. One 'singer' was a 6' 6" NFL Tight End I know who this one is, and is excellent, but many times, they are trying to disguise their voices so you won't identify them too soon. This means they can be singing outside their comfort zone. The only other character close to her skills would be the Kitty.
