spectators likely find these characters hype because they are very combo heavy and usually pretty fast. However, if you compete and get hit by the same shit for 70% damage or death then you get tired of it real quick. That's why a part of the community (mostly the competitive players) thinks these characters are super lame while a part (some casual but also some competitive players) think these characters are hype.

It's not true because they can air dodge the up tilt or choose another option, but it is really good to do if you think you're opponent won't air dodge or picks an option slower than up tilt

Well if it's same combo over and over it gets stale. Not like it requires less skill, just that it gets repetitive

@@falloutglasster7807 Falcon only has those cutscene combos though. Other combo heavy characters such as mario, pikachu, Peach/Daisy, etc. have a different neutral. Falcon’s neutral is attempting to get his opponent in his same combos. Don’t get me wrong, I think Falcon takes a lot more skill than people give him credit for, my point is that people say he’s “not hype” because seeing the same combos with the occasional knee over and over again is not very exciting.

@@Erik-ed8ml I don't know where tbh but he's high tier, I don't think he's top tier like some people think since he loses too many matchups and he has a bad dash back but the buffs did secure him a high tier placement due to his raptor boost being a better combo tool, upsmash is way better now and while you can still tech check his up b is better, the development of idj combos helped, and the top Falcon players have performed better than before the buffs

He kinda has a point. Although it depends, if its hard to do like a IDJ combo its more type. Like how kazyua combos to me are hype, it's pretty hsrd to do electric wind god fists consistently. Or if you play against Falcon and you always get hit by his inescapable combos, they look cool but unless your falcon its lame

Variable attacks tech, combos that carry from one side of the stage to the other, the rudest knockback angle a dtilt ever sent, disgusting upsmash punishes, a vomit-inducing dair spike, all-or-nothing offstage confirms, and a Homerun Bat nSpecial to top it all off? Falcon is hype. Any fighter that makes Falcon look boring is the problem.

@@brotusclips Bruh no, that's not working like that. There's hype Falcons but there's more lame ones. Depending of the player who plays the character. And of course that has almost nothing to see with the character of the opponent as a good falcon should know how to play against every characters. For example, if Mkleo plays against a beginner who will mash with falcon, that doesn't mean that mkleo makes it annoying, that's just that the falcon is bad. People are saying that falcon is hype but personnaly, I just know a few bunch of "hype" Falcons, the true "hype" Falcons are just too rare and you can't tell me that falcons mashing every buttons, falcon kicks in neutral, upb oos, upair and nair are hype because they're not.

Yeah. I watched so many easy' falcon combos and thought his combo game was easy as hell. Then I picked up flacon and realized LITERALLY NOTHING is true except for very specific Dair confirms. Even Meta Knight's combo game is more consistent.
