Hands down, this is one of my FAVORITE tournament runs of all time in Smash Ultimate! I had no idea that Skyjay can make Incineroar look like the best character in the game! Here is my reaction to Skyjay's INSANE Top 8 Collision 2023 run, with his sets against Lima, Sparg0, and Riddles!

Seeing incineroar going deep off stage is like seeing a grizzly bear in the grocery store. It looks weird, they shouldn't be there, but if you don't respect it they'll fuck you up anyway.

That grand finals set was the first time in ultimate i was audibly popping off and stink facing in my room lmao. it's not that i don't have fun watching the game bc i normally do, but Skyjay was on a different level that weekend. wish he won bc honestly he was playing better

I love that Skyjay finally taught a lot of people what it's like to fight a fighting game grappler. You think the character is easy to fight until he starts landing the hard read pressure options.

OK ive seen nobody talk about this moment, but its actually so fucking funny and kind of decided the whole set there was a stock near the beginning where skyjay footstools spargo on purpose for a KO, spargo looks over at him like "haha nice silly stock man, good one" like they had been in between games but skyjay was just COMPLETELY zoned in, absolutely not messing around Skyjay is really great for being able to have fun while playing, even having a good laugh during a game, but in this moment, spargo wasn't taking him seriously and he lost for it

Skyjay always was the best Incineroar player since the start. He just never placed high at any big major tournaments. He gets top 4 placements in local and Mexico tourneys all the time.

If I had a nickel for every time WaDi said a player was gonna win a set/bracket and ended up losing, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
