Yes it is considered one of the worst decisions in the history of anime. They cut out like 50% of the story, the middle part to be exact, changed the ending in a horrible way and then presented the end of the story in like a 10 minute slide show that could have been done in powerpoint. Nobody asked for this or understood why this was done. All we know is that the author apparently didn't like the middle part of the story.

There was a season 2 of Promised Neverland? That's news to me. Maybe in a parallel universe, they created a season 2 that completely gutted one of the best arcs in the series and condensed 100 chapters in to a 30 secs powerpoint at the end of the season. That would be incredibly asanine. So, I am just waiting for the time they actually announce that season 2 or a remake. My severe disappointment aside, Promised Neverland season 1 actually has 2 endings. Most people miss it because the second ed only plays on the last 2 episodes.

This series is heartbreaking both in and out of the world. The first season was goddamn flawless, they could have made a beloved 5 season show, but instead they decided to just rush to the end of the story in the 2nd season. They even gave people some hope while the 2nd season was airing, teasing potential original plot points to explain why it was so different to the manga...and they just went absolutely nowhere

First season, one of the strongest openings to a show, incredibly well adapted. Second season said fuck the source material, skipped a bunch of stuff and speedran straight to a garbage ending, I have no idea how they fucked up so badly when the manga was right there. The manga I think also declines in quality as the first arc clearly was better thought out than the rest, but it's still overall a pretty good read.

The person singing the second ending was a lady called Myuk or Kumamiyu, not Eve. Eve was in charge of the lyrics and composition though, which is why you saw him listed with the other who worked on the song in the credits. Myuk was the singer, Eve was the lyricist and composer and Numa did the arrangement. Hope this clears things up.

You would honestly love season 1 of promised neverland. The mystery genre is HUGE on this one. Lots of detective-like mysteries, plot twists, of course horror, and badass OSTs through and through. It's also immensely emotional. It deserves a YT spot if you were to react to it! Yes, it's wrapped up, but we dont acknowledge season 2 because of the way they strayed away from the manga (the original ending). Isabella's Lullaby is a must to react to, it's a beautiful, most classic promised neverland OST.

man, yeah, if there was ever a reason to break into the world of manga, THIS IS IT. The Promised Neverland is a really cool and engaging story, with a lot of good mystery, twists, and turns... but you'd never know it from the way that season 2 butchered everything. literally season 1 is a perfectly executed season of television if ever I've seen one, but did we even get a season 2? no... not of the story that everybody was hoping for. legitimately, in terms of voice acting, aesthetic, production value, etc. we had all of the ingredients for a good anime. and nobody knows why this happened! it's just a big mystery, and it's completely upsetting to anyone who liked the manga at all. but the kind of like... blessing/curse of anime, is that there is always the source material to fall back on. the vast majority of anime are based on a manga, and often times that manga will be farther along than the anime, so there is a way to get more answers if you really want them. The Promised Neverland is also a prime example of this, it's finished, and I'd highly recommend it if you can find the time and want to. also, just for the sake of saying so, Golden Kamuy has four seasons out, and a fifth already approved, which should finish out the plot of the already completed manga... so if you want a show that is all but guaranteed to actually give you a firm conclusion, that's my best offer. the manga is also worth it if you want to see any of the gorgeous original artwork, or extraneous chapters that got left on the cutting room floor when the anime had to choose which things were plot relevant enough to draw the focus, in terms of structuring episodes and seasons, but the anime can stand on it's own with the main plot unbroken. and it keeps the quality up the whole entire time!

Promised Neverland season 1 came out the same year as Demon Slayer, and Promised Neverland was a contender for best anime of the year. It's SUPER GOOD! Promised Neverland season 2 ruined it though sadly, not because of the animation like Seven Deadly Sins, but rather because of the writing this time. And not the manga fault either, it's because rather than copying what's already in the manga, they decided to make their own story in order to add multiple seasons worth of episodes within just 1, so it ended up being bad, anime fault. Season 2 was the one that ruined it though, Season 1 was a masterpiece. Lol XD

I always prefer that people go into The Promised Neverland blind because the reveal of the monsters and what they do to the children in the show is done so well. Promised neverland season 1 is pretty good, especially that final episode. It got that atmosphere and the cinematography really right but the biggest issue for me with season 1 is that they completely removed every single internal dialogue from the manga. Considering how insanely smart the MCs are, they have inner thoughts all the time. So, removing them actually removes different perspectives and details from the story. In its place, we do get a more horror out of every scenario because horror movies and series refrain from letting the viewer know what's happening. It is a creative decision I am just not fond of.

A second season you say? . . . . Hmmmm, I do NOT recall anything of the sort. Even though the music is great we do NOT talk about how they literally took an ENTIRE arc from the manga, made it into a powerpoint slide show presentation(meaning they completely skipped it) and then said let us continue from the next arc for season 2. This goes on the list of really HUGE FAILS alongside things like: - What they did with Tokyo Ghoul Season 2. - How they "ended" DeadMan Wonderland. - How they "ended" No Game No Life. - How they were giving anime original endings to (mostly older) anime like Soul Eater / Akame ga Kill / Claymore and the list goes on while the mangas were still(or are even now) ongoing . . . . . - The infamous butchering of the actual fight of Meliodas versus Escanor from The Seven Deadly Sins. Was it season 3 that had the drop in quality? That was so sad. . . . . . . . Just my 2 cents.

The 1st season of the anime is amazingly intense, and i highly recommend watching it if you are a fan of thrillers and dark stuff. Unfortunately, there were some changes to season two that left fans wishing it never existed. The animation was fine, the music was great and the characters were faithful to the manga, but well... Allegedly, the mangaka (writer) of Promised Neverland wanted to try a new direction for season 2 of the anime, but the end result was that while the anime started off following the manga, past like episode 4 or 5 started to skip adapting chapters of the manga. It also affected the appearance of two important characters and by episode 10 of the anime, they had skipped at least two whole story arcs - For comparison, imagine the Harry Potter franchise without the 3rd and 4th movie, yet the characters Dobby and Siruis Black are mentioned but never appear. It was that bad. To people that only watched the anime, the story may have felt rushed, but to anyone that read the manga, it was a butchering of the story. Edit: As for anime recommendations, I can recommend No Guns No Life and Inuyashiki

5:30 Yes, it's pretty common, BUT no one in this community is suggesting anime from older times, I started watching anime in jp in 2006, I remember some old glories that no one ever suggested here, seems like before 2010 no one remembers... "Shakugan no Shana" is complete, "Magic Knight Rayearth", "Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge", "Full Metal Panic!", "Mai-HiME"+"My-Otome", "Zero no Tsukaima", "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann", "Code Geass", "Toradora" all have closures, and many many guilty pleasure ones 😏.

Nothing controversial about this. First season was very well produced and very well received. The second season was a hellhole of anime production mishaps, to the point that some episodes don't have writing credits because everyone REFUSED to accept it, and the finale is a literal montage of stills from the manga, two volumes' worth of content squeezed into a five minute catastrophe.

The anime is completed however when checking the wiki and the differences between the manga and anime the anime either completely cuts out a large portion of the manga or condenses events and makes necessary changes based off how it's condensed after the first 2 story arcs...in fact the comparison for the last 2 arcs of the anime describes it as almost portraying the last 2 arcs of the manga in a slide view style which likely pissed off fans of manga. I think I watched the first couple episodes but then moved to the manga fairly early on though (never finished reading it tbh as I had caught up to it and forgot about it a year or so before the manga ended. From the way the anime's described in the comparison between anime and manga I can't really see the anime being good...maybe average at best, bad at worse due to how much seems to be cut out and done off screen. If you want another anime with a similar vibe either for an opening reaction or even watch along I'd recommend Scarlet Nexus which is an anime adaptation of the game of the same name (solid game as well as the game having it's own anime opening I'd recommend watching too with the anime adaptation's openings and endings (so 5 total I guess and the openings music are all done by the same band: The Oral Cigarettes (they did Noragami Aragoto's opening 'Kyoran Hey Kids' which you reacted to already and seemed to enjoy a lot...granted the game's opening animation may or may not be a DMCA possibility due to Namco Bandai making the animation with another animation studio...they do have their own music video for the game's song though on the Oral Cigarette's KZfaq channel along with the songs used in the anime's openings too (longer versions too))) and it's also one of the completed anime (about 26 episodes).

I can say, this manga, Dr stone and Demon slayer were three very popular new manga from Jump at certain time (although all three finished, one piece and hunterxhunter is still on going) For most of the anime adopted from Jump, you will get the subsequent season in soon, and mostly guaranteed you will get the finale, for others you may got subsequent season much later, unless it is very popular/success. It is not common for a good anime like No game no life got no subsequent season after that much of years

Season one was very well received, but season two rushed and changed parts of the story to get it done faster. The last scene of season two is a montage of what was left of the story just so it could end in season two with nothing for a third season to cover. I think you should check out some of the original Japanese version of the Digimon openings or OSTs like Brave Heart or Makuake. It’s so much better than some of what the English dub had. The original Japanese openings have some really good songs the English dub never used, some countries got the songs in their language but not the English release in the States. Same for the OST’s that played when the Digimon digivolved too. You might not find a playlist that has every current opening so make sure you have the Digimon Ghost Game opening too, it’s the newest one and I think you might like its song best.

I would recommend watching first season, then forgetting season 2 happens. season 1 already has a good ending. The mangaka themself said they spent like 6 years on and off on the first arc. But the rest of the manga was pumped out quickly. Basically. 40 chapter = 6 years. the other 160 chapters? couple years.

Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, World Trigger, Mairimashita! Iruma-kun, Sabikui Bisco, Kokkoku, Shakugan no Shana, Trinity Seven, Tegami Bachi, all severely underrated Anime which you still need to react to all the Openings! You've only heard World Trigger Opening 4 (Force by TxT) and surprisingly a little bit of Kokkoku's Opening in the top100 reaction.

Some anime got a reboot when the show is too popular, so I think they will make one for the second season one day. They did to Blue Exorcist a few years ago. Bleach got a continuation after 10 years, so it's possible.

The Promised Neverland is one of those anime where you just watch the first season, and move onto the manga instead. I've never watched season 2 myself as all the others have said how bad it is, but I was a manga reader, and I can tell you, this series is worth going through 20 volumes of it.

Yeah I am glad that my one recommendation finally lived to see a reaction and that is and opening and ending. Now I'll be able to on the list of what to recommend replace it with another anime. The 1st opening is great but it's the second opening that I love, on top of that the ending from season 2 is great too. Yes this anime has 2 seasons and is already finished. Again, I will remind you to catch up on the endings of the series whose openings you have already managed to watch like Ranking of Kings, Fire Force, Gintama, D.Gray Man and more. And I will recommend again the opening and ending from the anime Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin. And here are the other recommendations: My 10 recommendations for reaction to anime openings and endings: - Ranking of Kings 3 endings - Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin (ENG title: Rainbow) 1 opening & 1 ending - Barakamon 1 opening & 1 ending - Bakuman 4 openings & 6 endings - Koroko no Basket 7 openings & 7 endings - D.Gray Man 9 endings - Golden Kamuy 4 endings - Ajin (ENG title: Ajin: Demi-Human) 3 openings & 2 endings - Beelzebub 5 openings & 6 endings - Shingeki no Bahamut (ENG title: Rage of Bahamut) 3 openings & 4 endings (1st season subtitled "Genesis" has 1 opening & 2 endings, 2nd season "Virgin Soul" has 2 openings & 2 endings)

Watch season 1, and the first 2 episodes of season 2, but other than that, you have to read the 14 chapters of the manga that they crammed into one 12 to 16 episode season. (Depends on the medium and country. It's weird.)

Essentially Season 2 suffered from severe pacing issue to rush to the ending of the series. Imagine if after Season 1 of Game of Thrones covered the first book in 10 episodes, only for the second season to cover the other four books in only 10.

Hello, usually anime which are adapted from mangas are not complete because the objective is to promote the manga, but they're still worth the watch. here are some opening reaction requests: - Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle (the first opening is my favourite opening all time ^^) - xxxholic - the japanese openings of Yu-Gi-Oh (the original series + season 0) - D.gray-man - elemental gerad - x-1999 or x-clamp (yeah it's just called X normally ) - serial experiment lain - higurashi no eden - Rainbow nisha rokudou no shichinin - piano no mori - cardcaptor Sakura - mirai nikki I know you don't like romance anime (neither do I ^^), but I love the openings and some of them are good : - Nana (the openings AND the endings ) - Vempire Knight - shuffle!!! - Chobits - Strawberry panic - Fushigi Yuugi - Onegai teacher - la corda d'oro - Ayashi no Ceres (It's almost my fave opening with the first TRC one) I haven't watch the last 4 anime yet and I haven't finished strawberry Panic, but I love the openings.

Day 79 of recommending the Beyblade openings. There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!

Series being incompletely adapted is definitely a serious issue with anime (and often the source material manga/light novel for isekai stories). It's why complete shows that don't flop the ending like FMAB, Fate, Steins;Gate, Fruits Basket, Mob Psycho 100, and Violet Evergarden are so loved. Or Code Geass, which had a lot of messy moments but still nailed the ending. It's also why anime originals are great too, since they're written to tell complete stories in usually 12-24 episodes, unbound by source material. I think the only anime original you've watched so far has been Cyberpunk, and Arcane though technically that's not anime. I believe Madoka Magica is coming up on your schedule as well.

First season was crazy good. I was hyped for the continuation. Then came season 2. It was..weird. In a bad way of course. Then my friend told me they skipped the middle part of the manga like a lot. I honestly don't know why they're in a so much rush to finish the show instead of slowly building it. Might read the manga some day 🤔

Contrary to its cute appearance, The Promised Neverland is very serious and depicts the cruel reality of life. Japan has countless comics throughout its history, but only a few of the really popular ones are animated. In addition, it is even rarer for the entire story to be produced as an anime until the final episode of the manga. Overwhelming popularity, topicality, and achievements such as Blu-ray sales are required. It's a very competitive world. In the first place, it is not uncommon for a manga series to be lost before reaching its final episode. If you want to know the story completely, you have to get the original. Manga comics, novels, games.

This show is great to watch in the first season. It was SO well done. I haven't read the manga, but while I did enjoy the second season I remember getting to the last episode and thinking 'Did that just end????' It had seemed like they had made the first few chapters of a book into an amazing anime, then smacked the last page of the book at the end of an episode. It was so confusing. I would say its still worth watching, not only to be on the same page as everyone else, but also because the storytelling is suspensful and the show is intense at times too. The animation style is beautiful too. But yea, as a person who only viewed the anime, it felt like there were a lot of missing pieces in season two.

Season 1 of this show it top tier anime. Season 2 got the Tokyo ghoul treatment x10. Rushed through the entire Manga with so much missing. Character development is abrupt, problems get solved in an episode, etc. If you decide to give it a watch, it's better for your mental health to pretend it ends at Season 1.

To give you some scale how bad they messed up the anime: The manga is like 25% LONGER than Attack on TItan, and the first season was well adapted at a normal pace, but they squeezed the entire rest of the show into season 2. That part is literally as long as the entire Attack on TItan manga, It's like AoT had only 11 episodes to tell the whole story

I suggest that you react to openings after you check out the anime as most openings kinda spoils what the anime is about. But then reacting now to openings and endings is fine as well. Maybe you'll just forget what you saw in the openings so that you'll not be spoiled when you're about to watch the anime.
