This trailer never fails to hit. The music, the setup, the moments where you go "wtf did they just say?". Such a good way to get you hyped.

Fun fact: the jobs the Warrior of Light changes to are the same jobs he was in the trailers for previous FFXIV expansions. He was an Archer in FFXIV 1.0, a Warrior in A Realm Reborn, Dragoon in Heavensward, and a Monk and Samurai in Stormblood.

Honestly, the Shadowbringers trailer explains so little you're liable to be more confused after watching it if you don't already have context

@jaesaces this is true, but I wouldn't know that at the time. I understand the trailers are to create hype and interest and to showcase the new additions. I've definitely watched the new trailers now that I've caught up for this exact reason, so I guess I already changed my own trailer watching habits.

@@andream5462 I think generally the full trailers are pretty light on spoilers. The launch trailers on the other hand spoil some moments, but in a way IMO that only makes you more excited to see the context in which it's happening.

@@jaesaces Really depends when in the timeline you watch it. Like if you watch it while playing through HW it would spoil a lot of the gang still being alive for e.g.

This trailer confused all of us tremendously when it was first shown. Matoya? Minfilia?! We had NO clue what that was about and it was months away from launch at the time so we were all very confused! Anyway, enjoy Shadowbringers.
