I’m sure that Maisy will “know” how to do these things, she’s just gonna have it be on her terms. When I was learning to ride a bike I didn’t even get on one until I was sure I could ride it myself - I sat and watched other people riding and my parents would be like “you wanna try?” And I said “not yet, I’m still watching” and then as soon as I was “ready” I got on and rode it.

I was the same way with riding a bike! I do that a lot when making stuff too, I'll watch videos on here for a while before I attempt something and I usually nail it on the first or second try. Things like sewing or woodwork come a little easier than things like baking or cooking that have a lot of room for variation because we all have different tastes and likes.

I stopped watching your videos for a while because I wanted a baby so bad and I was just binge watching your videos, but then I was getting upset because I wasn't getting pregnant. Now, I'm almost 26 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I'm having a little boy, but my baby has CDH (which means he has a hole in his diaphragm and his stomach and intestines are in his chest, which compromises his lung growth and his heart). We just found out the process that will be going on after hes born, with all the procedures hes going to need, but I also learned most likely I'm going to have a c-section. I'm completely terrified and stressed all the time, because he can end up being in the NICU for months, they said maybe close to a year, depending on how he's progressing, or that he won't cone home at all. Seeing NICU babies go home is comforting for me, and even though my son and the twins are going to be in different situations, it gives me a bit of hope for my boy.

Like… is she really joking (blaming?) Wes for breaking his water and “letting” his cord slip through? She cannot be for real and honestly if she’s joking what a sick and disgusting thing to joke about. How is it Flynn’s water breaking not his fault due to her getting cholestasis that was also not her fault and out of her control but somehow this EMERGENCY AND HIGH RISK PREGNANCY that MIRRORED her last one is Wes’ fault? Like what? How does that make effing sense? Even if your unborn son “did” do that, you as the effing adult and parent should have done better and actually rush to the hospital than sit around eating breakfast, vlogging, curling your hair and joke about the fact that your doctor had to call you twice to get to the hospital. This woman is delusional.

Do you think you'll ever rewatch these videos in a few more years from now to see if those things that maybe don't quite make sense yet will make sense later? I'd be so interested to see if maybe there's some things from Flynn that he was too young at the time of your first reaction video to understand. Same with the twins in maybe another couple of years.

You were a little too chill while getting ready to go to the hospital 😂 even though I obviously knew you'd already had the babies by the time I was watching, the nurse in me was watching you slowly getting ready and doing your hair and thinking "no no, you need to leave now they are way too early" and then you ate and I was like "nooooo don't eat you aren't supposed to have food before a C-section" 🤣 gosh, when my sister's water broke at 36 weeks, it broke just after she had eaten cookies and milk. She was having a C-section due to hip issues and because she had just eaten and because her and baby were stable, they had her wait 8 hours before doing her C-section because she had eaten lol

@Juwlz
@Juwlz Жыл бұрын
@@zilazilazila it's not really negligent when you don't know. It would have become negligent if she still took her time when the doctor called and told her that this was urgent, but she rushed into the car. It's also important to remember this isn't uncommon, I'm a nurse, patients often don't react the way you'd expect in a moment of crisis(which I leaned from being a patient too) .

@@Juwlz I find it hard to believe she didn’t know 32 weeks is very early and she should get to the hospital ASAP
@Juwlz
@Juwlz Жыл бұрын
@@AshleyVlach you'd be surprised. When my sister in law went into labor at 33 weeks, she was not as alarmed either, watching Colleen heartbreakingly realize just how tiny and just how serious and severe this was, it's very clear on the vlogs she had been avoiding reading too much on the topic. She says in one of the videos that she intitially thought after arriving to the hospital, that they would monitor her for a few days, give her steroids to strengthen babies lungs and then she would have a C-section and it would be ok. I think having Flynn at around 35 or 36 weeks and him being completely healthy and fine and able to go home and not need any help, despite being a month early, can also distort your understanding. This was the case for my sister in law. She had two babies back to back, they are 11 months apart in age. Both were premature but the first one was born at like, 35 weeks and he was small but ok and able to go home quickly and not be in the NICU but her second baby was born at 32 weeks(well 32 and a half) and if you arent someone who spends their time reading a lot about pregnancy and development, if you just aren't the type to handle medical stuff, it just sounds like a few weeks difference and it's easy to tell yourself it's not THAT MUCH earlier than the first healthy premature baby, which is obviously a very very incorrect assumption to make, those extra few weeks are so critical in preparing baby for the world, but like Colleen, my sister in law wasn't at all prepared for the vast difference in having a 32 week baby and a 35 week baby. Her second baby was flown in a helicopter to a better hospital shortly after birth and was in the NICU for a long time. I vividly remember her being like "I don't get it. I don't get why he's struggling so much more than Cade did" I think both Colleen and my sister in law understood that a 32 week old baby would be very small, but I don't think they understood how very different of a experience having a baby born around 35-36 weeks can be, compared to 32 weeks and that the first premature baby experience going smoothly, gave a false sense of "ok this isn't good but it's going to be fine"
@user-vd4fc8wh5p
@user-vd4fc8wh5p Жыл бұрын
@@Juwlz I agree with you that sometimes people behave differently in the moment than they should. But to say she didn't know how serious it could be is false. She said at least a couple of times in the days or couple of weeks leading up to the birth that she knew she'd probably need a c-section, knew they would be premature and need the nicu, she knew Wesley was breech, she knew she had cholestasis (which she had with Flynn and so was aware of the seriousness of it), and to top it all off she'd been having contractions all night. So when her water broke she would immediately have known that the contractions she thought were Braxton Hicks were actual labour contractions and that she'd been having them for hours. With a breech twin pregnancy at only 32 weeks. How you don't rush to the hospital at that point, especially after speaking to the doctor the first time... I can't get my head around that. Even if she did think they were just going to monitor her as she said in a later video, idk, maybe make priority one getting to the hospital per your doctor's orders just to be sure everything's ok and then do your hair and makeup in the hospital bed if you have to. Why even take the slightest chance, you know? It's not like she didn't have the info.
