It would relate to the story and I could also display other stuff (mugs, Funko dolls, etc.). That would make sense, for sure. But some of the pricetags, though. Holy moly! ACK ACK ACK!

The dragon might not have as much shelf space as the unicorn shelf, but the dragon is Toothless, so... I have to love it more.

I think the purpose of statement piece "impractical" bookshelves are for people who probably don't own so many books that they're always trying to use up space for books, but rather for those people that have a few dozen books that could all fit on one piece of furniture

If you watch Daniel Greene’s channel he does this where he posts on Twitter for people to send him pictures of their bookshelf’s and he does a video roasting them (some are amazing, some shelves are awful). Good old basic straight bookshelves for me all the way. They’re classic and always look good. Wonky bookshelves would make my stress levels hit the roof 😂

The only things I care about with bookshelves are; size, ease of access, ease of putting together/taking apart/moving and the amount of books I can fit on them. These 'bookshelves' that are designed to have like 5-10 paperbacks, 2-3 hardbacks and 1 or 2 coffee table books on them and then the rest of the space is taken up by plants, photos, little statues etc, shouldn't even be considered as bookshelves and definitely shouldn't be owned by anyone who actually wants to keep and store books.

Jesse judges book shelves on how many books can fit on it...not how artistic they are. Some people may only own a handful of books so minimum shelving is okay...for Jesse...this is unthinkable. The more books the better therefore the more need for bookshelf space.
