Do check the end of the videos and you can sometimes get windows into how they get the staging done, or makeup, or what it is like to do this. Don't miss it when you look at how much time is left on the clock. The most common thing you will get is them doing a karaoke portion without the main singer which makes it easier to hear the other voices without the distraction of first voice. There are so many really good songs - Dragonborn Comes Skyrim, Hoist the Colours, I Can't Make You Love Me, Little Mermaid, Queen in 5 Minutes, Boy Bands in 5 Minutes, Tennessee Whiskey, In the Air Tonight, Nothing Else Matters, Hellfire, Sleeping in the Cold Below. You just can't go wrong.

Bass dude is Geoff (pronounced Jeff) Castellucci. He has a solo channel as well where he does covers and some how to sing low tutorials. Beatboxer is Layne Stein. Crazy talented guy. He and Geoff (and now Eli) take turns being in charge of the arrangements) Bald dude is Eli (rhymes with Jelly) Jacobson. His voice is often described as rock tenor. The final member is Cesar De la rosa. He was the one you saw twerking. Jose Rosario Junior is an awesome collaborator and can be seen in a few other Voiceplay videos . Looking forward to more Voiceplay and Geoff!

VoicePlay are the most fun a capella group out there. I'm sure of it. They cover many many genres but when it's a less serious song they really bring the humour. Geoff, the bass, also wrote the bridge section to break up the rather monotonous usual version of the song. They are truly multi talented. Geoff had practised a lot to develop his subharmonic range, and has currently got down to an A0. As far as I know he hasn't yet fallen off the end of the piano yet. He can also, on a good day, get up to an A#5. :)

They did do Hoist the Colors from Pirates of the Caribbean.... The bass is Geoff Castellucci, and he also has a personal channel that's extraordinary. AND he has 2-3 videos showing people how to do subharmonic tones.

I agree with others that you might want to check out VP's "Hoist The Colors". However, if you want to really hear just how low Geoff (the bass singer) can get, then try their covers "Valhalla Calling" (original song by Miracle of Sound) or 'Halo"(from the video game). I'm pretty sure those two songs are the lowest he has gotten on video. B0, which is just 2 or 3 keys from off the left side of the piano. He does those extra low tones using subharmonics and he has 2 videos on his own KZfaq channel on how to achieve subharmonics. These 'teaching' videos are a few years old now, so he can sing lower (using subharmonics) now, than he talks about in those videos. And I think his most recent lowest bass 'chest' voice is now F1 (in "Whiskey In A Jar").

Voiceplay is just the best! They don't always go all in with costumes, makeup, and theatricallty, but whether they do or not, they are fantastic! They are a five man group that has been one man short for four years. Their high tenor, Earl Elkins Jr, left in 2020 for personal reasons and has not been replaced. Their baritone, J None, left in 2021 to sing with the US Navy. He was replaced by Cesar de la Rosa, the twerker, the same year. They bring in a variety of featured artists to fill the fifth position. Subsribed in anticipation of more Voiceplay and Geoff.

Welcome to the VoicePlay, they are amazing. I have subscribed to see more VoicePlay & Geoff Castellucci reactions. I would recommend: "Hoist the Colors", "Valhalla Calling", "Dragonborn Comes", "Nothing Else Matters", "Seven Nation Army", "Hellfire", "Black Hole Sun" and "Creep" are a good starting point. Geoff Castellucci, the bass, has a 5 octave range, he has his own KZfaq channel. I would recommend: "Far Over the Misty Mountain Cold", "I See Fire", "16 Tons", "Jack's Lament", "Ain't No Sunshine", "Unshaken" and "Don't Mess Around with Jim".

I'll add my recommendation for VoicePlay's cover of Hoist the Colours to the other commenters here. Another one where they just have a ton of fun while also delivering a mind-blowing performance is The Lion Sleeps Tonight. If you like classic rock, you shouldn't miss their epic performance of Metallica's Nothing Else Matters. But anything you see in their channel is well worth your time to check out.

This was mostly these guys goofing off and giving us a fun video after a run of more serious videos. Dive deeper and be astounded. You should see some of their Disney stuff.

#TheatreKidsOfACapella. The bass is Geoff Castellucci has his own channel where he does his own low bass covers.

First off. You should really watch to the very end. You missed Geoff talking and showing a little behind the scenes. Also they do a running thank you list of most of their Patreons. And sometimes some behind the scenes. Im not high enough to make the list but very happy where I am on their tier. These guys are independent and do everything themselves except intricate makeup, cameras and audio mixing. Left to right.... Layne Stein - beatboxer, baritone, arrangements. Co-owner of Pattycake Productions with former member Tony Wakim. Eli (like jelly) Jacobson - tenor, rock tenor, lighting, arrangements. José Rosario Jr - guest, tenor. Cesar De La Rosa - baritone, tenor. Geoff Castellucci - bass, arrangements. Has a solo channel with instruments. The drunkin sailor is former member and choreographer Matt "Bucky" Buckner. He was with Voiceplay when they were 4:2:Five wasaaay back. He did Geoff's choreography in his "Monster Mash" video. And suggested he do "Unshaken" from the Red Dead Redemption 2 video game. Which geoff did a couple months ago when he brought back his ghost cowboys from his "Ghost Riders In The Sky" video when they were alive. Geoff clones himself 3-4 times for harmonies. Each with their own name and range..... Jeff, Jeoph, Goff and Daryl. The first 3 a play on the way his name is mispronounced and misspelled by people. Daryl is just a name he likes. Like Voiceplay he has themes and all that go with his songs. Voiceplay's latest video is "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden. Geoff's latest video is "You Don't Mess Around With Jim" by Jim Croce. These guys are known as both"The Theater Kids of Acapella " and"The Kings of Halloween " because of their love of dressing up and performing. They all (including most of their collaborations) performed in shows at Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando in the past. And still sing at Disney World every now and then. Pattycake Productions is the studio they and Geoff film most of their videos. Some are filmed on location or various parts of Orlando. All of their shorts videos are filmed in the Oviedo Mall where Pattycake is located. All are just as fantastic as their videos.
