I'll be surprised if you find too many VoicePlayas that will participate in your competition. It's not what the guys are about and neither are their fans. The guys are extremely humble. They recently did a shoot in the mall and a sweet little lady asked, "Who are you? That was awesome!" Geoff's answer, "Oh, we're no one." Cesar stepped forward with a more accurate answer, but his answer was also very humble.

I'm not gonna give you any suggestions for a "competition" of a cappella groups, that's a concept that I really dislike, and I usually never even click on reactions like that. each group stands on their own and don't need to be put up against each other. A Cappella is about working together, and all the groups are friends with each other. All are amazingly talented. Each group should be judged by their individual performances, not get pitted against someone. All it creates is a toxic comment section, instead of a place where people express their enjoyment of a talented group of people making wonderful art.

J none just has such a good energy and I love it. Geoff also does a solo of the bare necessities on his channel as well, but it's I believe the first song he put out as a solo so it's fairly older.

Yeah, as others have said, it's really best to not go the 'comparison' route with these acapella groups. Especially VP as they are all about collaborating and having a positive and creative scene. Layne and Geoff have both arranged songs for Home Free and VP have had members of Home Free and Voctave as guests on songs. Once you get to their track 'Just Sing' you will see just how many people they have collaborated with, and that's not even all of them. Oh and make sure you have the captions on for that one as it tells you who all the guest people are.

You should compare VoicePlay and Home Free. There's an older video they did for the Sing Off, titled Zombies vs. Hillbillies. It's great! I know, you said current, so you pick whichever vids you want, but I still go with VoicePlay and Home Free. Good Luck!

The Little Mermaid medley is one of my all-time favourite VoicePlay things. I wouldn't compare it to anything else because I don't know much about other acapella groups but also because they like being recognised for what is different and not compared :) VoicePlay and Home Free are very respectful of each other and try not to step on each other's toes. They have worked together in the past.

VoicePlay's Little Mermaid Medley is great. My favourite Home Free medley is one of their older ones "Country Fried Pop Medley" - hilarious, but the vocals never suffer. Or try their Butts Medley. Just as VoicePlay has their carrot, HomeFree had their rooster (while Chris Rupp was still a member).

Ok, word of caution here. Be careful going the competition route. It seems to bring out the absolute worst in everyone. People will be in these comments spouting hate against the group they don't like the most and against each other. It gets really ugly sometimes. Just a heads up there.

Maybe not put it forth as a competition per se, but maybe more a video where you watch two covers of a same song and talk about how their covers differ from each other or are the same and what different techniques or styles they use. That could be interesting, instead of a competition which can sometimes be less positive or entertaining.
