I miss seeing this kind of dancing on Dancing with the Stars.

Oh wow I honestly didn’t even know Derek wasn’t on the show until season 5. In my mind he’s always been an original member. That’s just nuts to me. Always my favorite!

The thing is though.... Derek actually didn't drop her, even as he was falling, he was holding her up. If you watch his arm, in the slowmo; except for that brief moment when he's first whisked off his feet uncontrollably and basically just thrown down to the ground, his arm is pulling/lifting upward and holding her up. It's actually kind of remarkable. & [to me it looks like ]The first thing he does after regain control of himself(/his body) after the falling, is actually check on her. I love it. He's a beautiful soul. 💜 Also, Deyley, you two are so Much.. freaking .. ADORABLE! I can't even!!! _-just melts my heart to see_ 💖🥰💜💜

OMG...the way she looks at him is amazing, it feels like she is connecting to everything he says!!! They know each other so well and have like a soulmate chemistry!

Derek seems like an honest, caring person. When he first started I didn’t care to much for him, but he has grown into a sincere , kind dancing judge. Not everyone grows into good. Good man dude!

Oh, I would love love love to see more reactions to old DWTS performances. Not only with celebrity partners (like Jennifer Grey, Shawn Johnson, Amber Riley, and Amy Purdy), but also with Julianne.

Wow this is actually the answer to my prayers. Please do more videos rewatching your DWTS seasons, especially the earlier ones! Season 7 is probably my all time favorite partnership of yours because what you achieved with Brooke was outstanding.

Hayley's sweet, caring personality is a nice contrast to Derek's over-the-top frenetic one. I miss Derek's dancing on DWTS because he is a brilliant dancer/choreographer - the best the show ever had, imo. All his dances stand the test of time and are wonderful even in 2020. I've been a fan of his since the beginning and have attended his wonderful tours. Derek is also doing a great job as judge. I think also that Haley's dancing is exquisite and I wish they had made her a pro this season. I felt she was a star even when she was in the troupe. She really has a unique, gorgeous and special quality to her dancing that captures one's attention.

Derek, your sisters are honest and their feedback suggests great family relationships. And Hayley is honest, too!! Humility goes a long way! 🇳🇿🇳🇿🐑🐑

Derek...you were my favourite dancer the very first time I saw you. Then, you danced with your sister and I couldn’t believe the talent from you both. I would say to my family...”watch this guy....he is so flexible, its like his hips aren’t attached to his body!” The season I cried through (and I never cry) was with Jennifer Gray.....every song you did together was so beautiful, and like a celebration of her being cancer free! Thank you for the years of exquisite entertainment!!...ps...so happy you found Haley...now put a ring on it 🎼

I'm really happy to see this side of the show. Viewers can be so brutal sometimes when it comes to a fumble, and my heart has gone out to Skai and Alan when they've had those moments because I know they're such a great pair. Skai has what it takes and Alan is really such a incredible talent (one of my favorite pros). I appreciate Derek revisiting those moments in his VERY successful career to show it happens and a lot time people return even better for those experiences.

I would love to see you two married. You are so kindred in spirit. Put a ring on it!! 🥰

I remember watching DWTS when I was a kid and really wanting to dance. And then when I got into college I finally got to take ballroom dancing and it was so amazing. I got second place in swing at a state competition! Which considering I couldn't afford private lessons and was going against people who did, I'm pretty proud of. I miss dancing so much now. Watching you two dance and watching DWTS helps me remember how much I loved it. Thanks for sharing these videos! You're both lovely ❤️

Derek, your rumba with Jenny Garth is my all time favorite rumba on DWTS. First of all Jenny looks stunningly beautiful in that dress! The choreography is fabulous, classic with it's tempo changes. I love that you pass each other on the floor before you begin--adds to the intrigue and possibility...I think there was some kind of comment on prior episodes about her not being fully engaged with you, and I saw her growth in this dance, especially when she put her hand on your neck and back (which I assume was hard for her) when you were in a closed position. Love that rumba! Have watched it many, many times...

Derek, you two were amazing. You really should review week three's Tango with Jennie as like you said "Set back sets you up for a comeback" and you all definitely did that. This just makes me miss the traditional dancing with stars that me and millions of fans fell in love with. The growth and difference in her first Cha Cha to the final Cha Cha was amazing. You truly came in like a breath of fresh air!! So talented. The slides, the steps, the flips, just incredible! Bravo!! Love this. Thanks for sharing!!

I’ve watched these dances with Jennie over a hundred times. I became a Derek fan from the first dance. In spite of the many brilliant choreographic masterpieces to come, one of my all time favorite dances still is the Uptown Girl cha cha. I noticed Derek never let a beat of the music go by without some part of his body moving to it. At one point, it was his shoulder blade (I bet her mother never told her why) -somewhere in that line. I fell in love and I’m an old grandmother. I’ve prayed for him like a son since 2005. PS: I didn’t like it when Jennie made fun of Derek’s non-muscles.

Can you do a weekly reflection on all of your old partners? This was awesome to go back in time!!!

Its funny that the dancers stress about falling and we the audience barely notices and always forget about it....Derek is the King!!!

Derek: I’ve always re-watched every single of your dances on DWTS multiple times. You are incredibly talented. Honorable (and unforgettable) mentions: the 50’s Paso Doble with Nicole S., final dance with Kelly Pickler (I even bought the song Beneath Your Beautiful) and all of your tangos 🌟. I've thought so often that when one of the pro's "over-dances," they're trying to distract from their celebrity partner's deficiencies, but it makes the less-experienced or unexperienced dancer look worse to me. I know they're probably trying to encourage their celebrity partner, but it doesn't always work out that way. I do love watching the ballroom & Latin dances - probably because I'm so uncoordinated that I could never do any of them.

That falling story is super relatable. In high school I was in a show and on the night I had extended family in the audience I was feeling a bit of extra pressure. I fell down in the first scene which I recovered very quickly from but internally I was kicking myself. But once I got offstage everyone said I did such a good job coming back from it and then I felt less pressure for the rest of the performance.

7:30 is the fall replay. It was so cute though.
