I was a paramedic for 20 years including 10 as a flight medic, the rally crash into that tree @7:20 would probably be survivable in a modern rally car. The car would have just sheared the tree and kept rolling, not crumpled like a piece of paper, and with all of the safety enhancements like the HANS device, the driver likely would have survived with some injury. I've seen some videos of some pretty insane rally crashes where the drivers were fine.
