I never realized how much I was invested in Jenna's videos until she left. I've been watching her since 6th grade and I'm in my freshman year of college now. Her laugh, her light, her energy; it all just brings me joy. I know jenna is taking care of herself and I'm glad she's feeling better, but I also miss her so much it hurts.

Something that Jenna does (that not many other creators do) is make her content open to be reinterpreted and used in other people’s creative projects. She wants what she makes to be out there and change and evolve and isn’t interested in claiming the channels that make edits of her stuff. It’s pretty revolutionary in a world that is hyper vigilant to copyright. We love you mom.

That's what Creative Commons licenses are all about. Use the original video, edit it in a way that changes it from the original content and upload it as its own thing. It's really a glorious way of publishing any genre of content.

@animae Julien has an intellectual copyright on that concept. He was very respectful in his response to that video. He acknowledged that they probably didn't know, but his company utilizes that copyright to have secure profits. It's not him whining about his idea being reused, it's him informing them that they infringed on his legal copyright.

The amount of times i’ve pulled up Jenna’s videos just for comfort or when i’m sad about something is innumerable. i don’t think she ever realized just how much she meant to so many of us. To say i miss her would be an understatement, but in the end i’m just hoping she is able to be happy and comfortable in her life.

Aw! That was so sweet of Jenna to not be upset about the Russian voiceover reuploads. Many people in Russia don't know English well enough to understand the wonderful videos that Jenna makes, and the guy who did the voiceover made a very good translation, so this way they can enjoy her videos as well!
