The two members in this unit track are Mingi and Yunho. They were friends long before joining Ateez and happened to audition to KQ without the other knowing. Mingi (the deep voiced, arrow riddled one) went on hiatus for about 8 months for anxiety and that is where he wrote most of his lyrics for Youth were written. They both struggled during this time.. Mingi with his mental health and Yunho with having to work a heavy schedule with Ateez and not being able to support Mingi as much as he would have liked. They wrote the rest of the lyrics together for their current album. Ateez Lore: Along with the reality of the meaning of the lyrics, the MV also incorporated Ateez lore tying all the way back to the the Zero Fever Diary Film they released along with the Inception MV. The wrecked car and guitar are references to Yunho’s fictional brother that dreamed of becoming a musician but died in a tragic accident. The wounds on Mingi’s face match his fight wounds from the Diary Film and his character is based on his own real life struggles that were also in the lore. All of the unit MVs have subtle tie-ins to the Diary Film and the Inception MV.
