Who would have thought of composing a metal song about playing hide and seek with an ogre or demon and sung to a choreographed dance routine by three adorable kawaii (cute) teenage girls from Japan. That's Babymetal.

I'm not used to post a comment in YT videos and I'm not an english native speaker so I'll try to explain this the best I can: There was a concert organized by the KamiBand members as a tribute to Mikio, and they played Mikio's song "Hills of Wisteria". It was a very emotional moment and Ohmura (the one with the pink guitar) was crying while playing the song with Mikio's guitar. Mikio was like a mentor for Ohmura, so he was in so much pain when Mikio passed away. The video was available in KZfaq 2 months ago but now has been banned so I don't know where you can watch it, BUT there are some reactors that reacted to this, so maybe you can watch one of these reactions (don't need to make a video unless you find the original one). EDIT: Perhaps some of this information is not correct at all. I hope is not like that. Nice reaction, keep it up sir!

It's not just with Babymetal, but almost (if not) all of Japanese music has a ridiculously strict copyright protection, so in fans perspectives (in this case Babymetal) we are used to it by now, so feel free to work around it we'll still appreciate it, maybe some suggestions will come, but don't worry too much about it. I just hope your other subscribers can also tolerate it :D

I wouldn't say it's the most creative song in their repertoire but it's one of their songs where the contrast between cutesy J-Pop and heavy-ass metal is the most significant. It's also pretty well done. I personally think this is like a leveled-up Gimme Chocolate in a way :).

This is one of my very favorite songs by BABYMETAL. Just can't help smile and headbang during this song. I believe the japanese woman you pointed out is their dance choreographer.

As a BM fan, I've seen those videos multiple times, so it doesn't really matter if you put up compilations. I'm here to watch your reactions which are most of the times hilarious as fk 😁. Do what you have to do to avoid having your channel being shut down and keep up the good work.

The reason a lot of fans do not like people reacting to compilations is because in the past it has given wrong impressions. Sound does not match up so "they are playbacking" and comments like that. This is especially shitty when those are the first videos one reacts to. You already know what they can, and you know you are watching a compilation video so I don't think that misunderstanding will occur. I think as long as you mention that you are watching a compilation this will clear up a lot of potential confusion for any new viewers as well who might stumble upon your reaction as their first video. I don't mean a big explanation like you did right now. But just a mention "today we're going to watch another compilation video" or synonyms of that.

Good reaction - and as long as you are aware you're watching a compilation before you start (or realise soon after its started) it isn't an issue - other than you won't be watching the best version. The main problem with compilations is they can get very choppy sometimes and some even cut out whole verses or show footage from completely different songs ... those are the ones we want you to avoid (eg If a compilation is by GJBlack please find another one). This isn't the worst - but it does suggest Mikio was playing the solo that Takayoshi actually played and it manages to miss some of the choreo or get it from odd angles that miss the effect they're going for. The videos from Budokan Black Night (the audio on this compilation was from that show) and legend 1997 are mostly not on the official channel and are traditionally safe from being blocked or copyright claimed etc, which is why they are the ones being recommended ... but in your position it is understandable you not doing them just in case. Anyway - keep the BABYMETAL coming please, I really like your reactions and the way you do them and analyse what you've seen.

When you stopped the video and pointed out the people on the side it was probably other bands. The producer of Sonicsphere said that when the girls started their performance everything back stage came to an immediate stop as everyone looked at each other with the WTF look. Then everyone rushed to the side stage to watch.

This compilation was my first introduction to Babymetal, right around three years ago. I knew nothing about them, other than the name came up when describing Kawaii metal (via Band Maid). I saw the band and was like, "Oh, these guys are impressive.". Than the girls came out twirling like a bunch of midget dervishes in pigtails. My reaction, "What the hell did I just click on? I've just ran into the weird part of KZfaq again." An hour more of curiosity got me to both the Su Metal 'Legend 1997' crucifixion video and the Lady Baby 'Nippon Manju' parody video. I was like, "I think I'm in the wrong place. I'm out of here" It took a while to come back to it.

Any other band worldwide that's heavy as sh... but makes you smile from ear to ear same time??? NO WAY! How can anyone not love them? This was actually my 1st BM song back then and they instantly got me down the foxhole.

Great reaction... Compilations are fine, they allow you to see glimpses of several performances including the more recent ones, and usually the audio is from a recent source, meaning a more mature and amazing Su. Most of us don't understand / agree with AMUSE's copyright practices, missing out in opportunities to promote their artists, but it is what it is (and they are not alone in this).

I think Headbanger live @legend of 1997 concert is best crowd reaction concert along with road of resistance live in japan. Link and Sink is a way to get around it OldskulNerd. We are all used to it trust me. We are here to watch your reaction and not to watch the video for the 100th time. Some might not like the link and sink, but fuck em. In case you are running low on Babymetal stuff to react to, there are 4 vids out there, where Su, Yui, and Moa are doing commentary of their MV's.... iine, headbanger, megitsune, and IDZ.... PLEASE do a reaction on those!!!!!..... Start with iine, that's the first one.... Hearing their commentary, you can get an idea of really how young/innocent they were.... We see them now as these 10ft Queens on stage, but back then, it was so different from their point of view....

I'm still new to Babymetal, but this song is my favorite so far. I dig the growled vocals, the girls are catchy, the dance is fun and childlike, and the music is fire. BOH's bass is a little too trebley for my taste - I'll take the deeper, more ripper sound anyway - but he's a great player. Now if I could only figure out why it's dangerous to put the red shoes on!

I prefer your format so do what you have to do. Unfortunately there are a bunch of compilation vids that are junk which is where the problems start. Hopefully you can steer clear of them. It is quite ironic that "certain companies" are so aggressive toward reaction videos considering this is where I discovered most of the groups I follow today. The original BM video are usually better as you get the ambient vibe of the performances (crowd and all), but you cannot show your reaction. With the compilations, you can show your reaction, but the video, while still very good, is usually missing a little something due to the different cuts. As for your content, I am here for the genuine reaction. I've probably seen all of those BM videos more times than I can count anyway. It is more for you at this point. Do what you like the way you enjoy it the most. This applies to any content. If it means looking at a particular video without sharing the reaction, so be it. And if at the end of the day, the reaction is available, I'll be watching.

I mean, "Catch Me If You Can" is fun and all, but I don't think many fans have it super high up on the list of jams. Typically, songs like "Megitsune" and "Headbanger" top their polls when it comes to favorite songs. There are just a few people in particular who always request this song a million times on every reaction channel lol Also, the Budokan shows and anything before those rarely get blocked, it's anything after those that they drop the banhammer. If you do videos on songs from shows such as: "Budokan Black Night/Red Night", "Legend 1997", "Legend 1999", "Legend D", any of their Download festival performances, anything before the 2014 Budokan shows, they should be fine.

This has been my favorite song from the first album, and I enjoyed your reaction, like always. Do what works for you, I 'm not a fan of compilations but, you do what you have to sometimes. There's another reactor who just puts the Babymetal logo over the whole screen, some stop alot, do small skips, whatever. Like others have said we've seen these, we don't need to watch them all really, just parts we know you'll like. It's annoying honestly when some write or post comments complaining, clearly not understanding YT and Amuse by now.

I'd never considered how your specific format affects the copyright issues. Yeah I can imagine that the full screen thing gets you on their shit list instantly. I hope this isn't the end of your Babymetal journey. I get the feeling that while you really enjoyed them you never really connected to them the same way you did Band-Maid. But I think you should go just a few more. You got to hear some of Babymetal's "better" stuff (Karate, Rondo of Nightmare, Sis Anger) which are all great for introducing you to the band and how they do things, but you never got to hear their "amazing" stuff: -Road of Resistance (their power anthem...honestly if you do only more song this should be it) -Megitsune (which isn't my personal favorite but is probably their most stylish chart and I know it's been recommended to you a bunch) -Headbanger (probably their most crowd-pumping chart) -Tales of the Destinies/The One (their Tokyo Dome prog metal finale, and honestly is Babymetal at their absolute peak--the song is an over 20 minute long emotional roller coaster in the style of Dream Theater!)

Hats off for your reaction format, I always prefer the reactor small and the video large but it is fairly rare. Please do not feel victimised by copyright. You are not alone by any means. Long term BabyMetal fans are used to the 'link and sync' style for BabyMetal and other popular Japanese artists. This way of making reaction videos is not so good for mobile users but there is an app for Android, that allows you open two screens at once. As far as I know, iPhone does not have an app for this. In case you are not familiar with link and sync, it is fairly straight forward. The video you are reacting to, you mute. The viewer can see the video and hear your comments. You leave a link to the video you are reacting to in your description. We the viewer, open a separate window and load this video. You do a simple 3,2,1 countdown and start the video. We start the video in the other window. Therefore, we hear the audio for the video, while watching you react to it. If you want to pause the video, you can just raise your hand and say pause. We pause the video in the second window and everything stays in sync. Sounds complicated but very easy to do and AMUSE can do sweet Fanny Adams about it. 😃

Not a fan of Amuse either - they lose so much free publicity and they also seemed to pretty much have their head stuck up Japans rear end - if they promoted BM heavily outside of Japan I never heard of them...it took 9 years for me to run into them. I'm sure I'm going to get blasted for this, but does every week have to have multiple babymetal and nightwish songs? Yes, they are popular reaction bands, but there are SOOO many other good and very deserving bands out there too , squeezing them out to appease the "armies" makes me sad.
