As always, Malukah does not disappoint, and this song in particular is interesting because more than a remastering, it is a remake. and it goes very hand in hand with the trailer for "Blood of the dead" the song was made especially for that and I think you should see it.

Yeah, I love how they completely turned the song around with this version. It's a different sound entirely. I'll look up that trailer. /Andrei

Idk how I missed this when this dropped, but I’m so glad y’all visited this one with the original still in your minds. What separates this one from the original is the original was pure sorrow and hopelessness. You guys hit the nail on the head with the 2018 version, the epic glimmer of hope, but then it still ends the same, in darkness. It matches the story from the level this came from too. There is hope, a chance of survival, but it ends in sorrow, with a heartbreaking sacrifice that still to this day brings zombies fans to tears. There’s a “music video” trailer for the level, which is called Blood of the Dead, which I think you guys would love if you have a few minutes. I’m actually going to rewatch it now. As always, great video my dudes!

That was... Why did I never know it existed? We've listened to so much of Kevin's stuff, rocked out, headbanged hard, seen the depths of his creativity... Then this happens. I know he has stuff that is deeper, more calm yet seriously impactful. But this piece can be played at a concert hall. This can be put in a program along with classical pieces and other video music. Wow.

Let me answer that. First that song appears in the trailer for "blood of the dead" so you weren't very attentive there, second and more importantly, Black ops 4 sucks.

So for context, while this song plays in the game, you, the player are traped in an eternal never ending death loop fighting hords of unded prisoners on the infamous alcatraz island. This prison in San Francisco CA, was home to some of the most famous and violent criminals from the us.

this is one of the songs in zombies that hits me right in the feels 😭, it was nice seeing others actually listen deep into it and also get that hit of immersion( you were both so quiet during that one XD) Great "Dip" analysis either way 😁👏

Yeah, i cant tell you why they called this Where are we going? (2018) and not Where are we going? (Reprise). For the longest time my friends and i just tought this was a remix and never bothered to hear it till last year or so till the algorithm just played it for me
