7:34 Wow that is sooo emotional; thats makes want to cry tears! That is so messed up when people tell you that you suck or not good enough. At least he stood up for himself and proved everyone wrong!

How many times have we seen friends and family encourage someone to try out for these shows and they wind up being the comic relief, then are devastated since they thought the where good. So what do you do when people are telling you that you aren't good enough? I suppose the answer is to just do what you love, and even if it isn't pitch perfect, the emotion you bring will carry you through.

Wow. This poor guy was a nervous wreck at first. But once he began to sing...OMG! The music took over and he sang so very, very well. Definitely worth watching. I agree totally with your reaction, and I would like to add my thanks to Corey (sorry if I spelled his/her name wrong) for requesting it. Absolutely worth seeing.

What was interesting in his journey to the finals was, his coach, Gary (the guy on the far right who looked like he was expecting a train wreck and was caught flat footed by Christopher's vocal performance) was funny as the season went on, week to week while some of the other coaches wanted Christopher to sing some other style and Gary had him keep belting out the ballads like his audition. He got less nervous and did well enough to came in 2nd (very few could out shine James Arthur who is a superstar from this show on). So, we don't know if Christopher can sing other styles and genres or not. I hope he continued to perform and did well for himself in any case.

GRRRRRRRR!! I dunno about anyone else but this guy frustrated the shit out of me. (Maloney, not Kent) Dude should have never been up there at all. And I blame Gary for not throwing him into the deep end way earlier to test his abilities. This show, and others like it, is to find someone who is viable in the music business. Can you imagine trembly Maloney facing massive amounts of "No"s from radio execs? It's a dog-eat-dog world out there. That's why they typically have at least one asshole on the judges panel... to see if they have what it takes to still keep their ambition and confidence in the face of it. This dude was NOT ready at that time and he ended up bumping others off the show who WERE ready and were better. He kept getting passed through by people who felt sorry for him (and because he mentioned living with his Gran). I love 80's music. I was a teenager back then so that's my jam. But that stuff doesn't challenge ME, much less a professional singer. Others were singing things far more challenging. Okay, I said my piece.
