I saw the Rebel Yell tour in the early eighties, it cost $13.50. The keyboardist in the video Judi Dozier is a good friend of mine. Yes Mtv in the eighties when they actually played music videos all day, peace from Central Texas Hook'em Horns 🤘

In the 90s, Billy Idol had a concert in Seattle, where I was living at the time. This was after his motorcycle accident, so he was on stage with a cane, but still rocked it. However, as the audience filled the seats and floors, we all saw this GIGANTIC fist above the stage. I can't remember if it was as he started, or the middle, or the end, but that GIGANTIC fist above the stage started turning over. We all watched it, and it slowly put up the middle finger to the entire audience. The screaming was so loud when that happened, I felt I was going to go deaf. Every last one of us loved it!

This is great! Back in 1984 I was throwing up my fists in time to this track with my old school headphones on. I even curled my lip like he does. I was obsessed with this entire album! Then twenty years later I got to meet him at his autobiography book signing. That was fantastic getting to tell him I’d been devoted fan most of my life. 💖👏🏻

I’m glad i was born in the 70’s lol, I grew up listening to all the power ballads. Waking up to put the box tv on and watching (mtv rage video hits) were the best memories of singing and dancing with my brothers and sisters…GOOD TIMES. 😌

When i was 16, my dad got me an 81 Camaro. It had a cassette tape player and this album was stuck in it. Billy Idol was all i listened to for about 8 months. Then a while later, the local radio station's named got changed to the Rebel Rocker and this song played for about a week straight on repeat. Others might have gotten tired of this song, but not me. Thanks for bringing back some fond memories, WonderMomma.

I just recently discovered her and I find her to be a nice change of pace. Expect lots of comedic relief with some sassy, fiery commentary and lots of browsing for her “white boy basket”! With K Shavon it’s more about the visuals. 🤤🤣 Please go visit her channel and show her some love as you watch her “leave no white boy behind”. 😅 Another classic song that was a huge part of my formative years and there are a couple other Billy Idol tunes on my list for future compilations! There needs to be plenty of reactions to it. The only thing that might throw a wrench in is if there is some reactors that react to the studio/lyrics version and some that react to a live version. Steve Stevens is the guitarist. He played with bands from Michael Jackson to Robert Palmer. He had a band called Atomic Playboys.

The rebel yell was a high pitched scream the confederate soldiers used to scream while attacking during the civil war. So in essence billy is saying his girl is letting out a squeal of sexual excitement ment to bring him to become more aggressive.

The guitarists name is Steve Stephen’s. Billy was originally part of the Bromley contingent from Bromley in London which used to go to the clubs where bands like the Clash and the Sex Pistols played and many members of the London bands from the London pump punk scene originated in those clubs such as Siouxsie Sioux from Siouxsie and the Banshees got started.

One of my favourites you’ve done yet WMOG. I absolutely loved the Smith & Myers intro/outro. Billy may be wild on stage but I’ve seen him pretty low key in interviews. Loved that he was in one of my favourite 80’s flicks The Wedding Singer. Ty! ❤
