I love this song. I remember the first time I saw this video as a teenager back in the day, and my mom watched it with me. She was horrified. Luckily for me that my mom is a huge metel fan, and eventually started to like Cradle herself. And KZfaq is stupid, they cant make their mind up on whats appropriate or not. My very favorite CoF song is "Of Mist and Midnight Skies" from The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, so I'd suggest that. Also, any Mortiis song.

I remember being 15-16 and this being the real shit. Still love the video a couple years later tho, once a Cradle fan, forever a Cradle fan (esp. now that they will be releasing a new album this year, KREYGASM). Anyways, this was one hell of a journey, I was definitely searching for something like that - a series of reactions on any of the bands I listen to, and it appeared one of the most cult-like bands. I watched the video in separate window on my screen and managed to sync it with your reaction. Worked very well. I remember watching that video on music tv, long before KZfaq. As far as I remember the lady part was pixeled out, but they showed the rest. We had it recorded on VHS tape. Old days when you waited in front of tv with remote control at the ready, to record your favourite videos on a tape, when they played them.

Great song to end on for COF week! This is where they started to shift their music from the first 4 albums but its still great. Alice you mentioned that you wish they would do something with Phantom of the Opera. I racked my brain once you said cause I remember COF had something related to POTO, and yes they do! When they used to show this video on MTV2 in the UK ( after midnight ) around 2000 the only bit they censored was ''revelations''. Seriously.

Old Cradle stuff is nice. Cruelty will always be remembered as very good for me even CoF isnt the shit for me anymore but it was a good entrance to the stuff i like today. For me Dany was always the weakest part of the Chain that is CoF, or at least for me, WAS CoF, cause the CoF that i liked was Stuard Antsis, Nic Barker and the other fellows i consider realy good musicians. Danys voice always feelt off for my ears at least, but i liked his writting and the absulut genius instrumentals of Cruelty aera CoF let me always ignore his voice. It didnt bother me that it wasnt pleasing to me, the rest was too good. But today i am not a fan of Danis writting, even Cruelty ones, at this point anymore. His style would perfectly fit into barok times and at this point i realy get why goth and goth-ish people are so damn imprest by it but for modern times i think the writting of Mgla`s "M" fits far more better. Its realy philosophical but with more modern themes in it. Its like Nitsche would have written his nihilistic stuff just a few years ago and uses religios images as references on what went wrong with humanity up to the point how fucked up we are today. But i think without CoF introducing me to more extreme Metal subgenres i probatly never would now what for example Mgla is, today. Sooooo i gues i will be always greatfull for that? ^^

I'm... pretty sure a dictionary is not enough to understand what Dani tries to say in there... you have to know the references, quotes, etc... There's none in metal that wrote/writes lyrics like him. At least at that time (I stopped being interesting in them after Damnation and a Day).
