Great tutorial, as always. ;) Technical speaking, what does the first noise to the second? The input is called Cooridinate Map but do you know how exactly the mapping works?

Is there a way to separate out the points on a ramp. So that the phase could be animated without effecting the black point?

Hey, thanks! As you can see around 14:10, it also doesn't always work for me. I think you need have very bright parts in your noise, so try leveling that up and resetting the feedback.

maybe double-check that the nodes coming into composite are not switched

The 'bg' trick doesn't work for me, perform mode shows black window, i've changed the help DAT to ./bg and everything...

You need to change the name in the look tab of the parent container as well. If that doesn't work, try bypassing and unbypassing the parent container. Hope that helps.
