This is my reaction and thoughts about episode seven of Doctor Who season one (or fourteen)!
I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next, and I hope you'll stick around to see it with me!

For anyone who happens to look at the comments, I do plan on watching Pyramids of Mars sometime in the week before the finale! I'd like to have a little more context about Sutekh, especially if the Doctor acts familiar towards the entity. And thanks for all the support on this video so far! You guys are awesome!

Sutekh is leagues beyond Thanos, and he's only one of the top 10 most powerful entities in the Whoniverse. Sutekh is tremendously powerful, so if this reveal went over anyone's head -- rest assured -- the Doctor's 😮face is 500% justified.

Pyramid of Mars is a Top 3 Tom Baker (4th Doctor) stories. Top 10 Classic Who. The voice of Gabriel Woolf is amazing and iconic as Sutekh. Also the voice of the Beast in The Satan Pit.

Gabriel Woolfe is 94 I believe, and I think it's awesome that RTD etc. brought him back to voice a character he played 50 some odd years ago and to make such a HUGE return like this, top tier stuff imo :D

Sutekh the Destroyer is a villain from Classic who and one of the most popular villains of Dr. Who history who appeared in the Tom Baker story "Pyramids of Mars" and is voiced by the same actor Gabrielle Woolf who is aged 92 this year.

Sutekh was from "The Pyramid of Mars" From the classic 1975 Doctor Who series who the 4th Doctor was faced of. He is the god of destruction.

Susan could be Mrs Flood, she said she was hiding and earlier when the dr explained to Ruby about regeneration it was to either go on living or hide (something like that) and only the dr and Mrs Flood has broken the 4th wall. if she isn't Susan, im sure shes another timelord

Companions will find out about regeneration sometimes as its happening. There isn't really a set way it comes up. Totally depends on the writing for the particular Doctor really.

13:10 The Tardis started making that noise in Wild Blue Yonder, so my theory is that it has to do with them being in the edge of the universe.

@@thelazygamer1639 Same.... Sutekh is one of the most powerfull beeings in Doctor who and the Doctor trapped him for 7000 years, so "the onewho waits" fits perfect. The 1970s mask is iconic in popculture. Also, if you know the tiniest bit of egyptian history you know that Seth, Sed and Sutekh are one and the same, the god of death, who used the body of his son Anubis (the jackel head god) to regenerate himself)

@@caitfurnox I remember watching Pyramids of Mars on my local PBS station way back when it originally aired (I was like, 5 lol) at 2 or 3 in the morning (because that's when Doctor Who aired, thanks PBS!) and I remember how powerful they made Sutekh and wondered why the "god of gods" never came back until now. I mean it's really mind blowing that RTD had gone back and used not only the Toymaker now but Sutekh and who knows what else is coming next week or next series/season. Good on Doctor Who for finally bringing in more classic Who villains.

The general idea is that Sutekh attached itself to the Tardis in Wild Blue Yonder. That was the first episode where the Tardis makes that weird sound. Although others have pointed out it made that sound in The Impossible Planet and The Satin Pit.

@@Graphite42 If the story tracks from the Tom Baker story Pyramids of Mars, Sutekh has been attached to the Tardis since then, and spent 7000 years in a time corridor the Doctor trapped it in where it "died" etc. and that's when it attached itself to the Tardis but in our time, it was specifically at the end of that story 49 years ago or so. It's also explained more in a comic from years ago also, which some of the stuff from this episode does use, but not everything. Honestly the fact RTD brought back literally the most powerful being in the Doctor Who universe and has it linked so well with Susan Twist/Triad, Mrs. Flood (somehow, I think it's obvious she's Susan the Doctor's granddaughter) the Tardis itself, Ruby and her mother. I mean, it really is incredibly well done if you think about it.

THEORY/SPOILER ... ... ... ... Only read if you want to!!! ... ... ... ... ... OK LAST CHANCE! ... ... ... Ibrahim was a follower of Sutekh in Pyramids of Mars. COL Ibrahim is the one who saluted the TARDIS... or did he??... maybe he saulted sutekh!! Also he's the only one who didn't flinch during the explosion of the Time window.

It certainly wasn't about Ruby Sunday. It wasn't about anything until the final five minutes and that was a generic CGI dog monster. Really a waste of time.

The Doctor once called the idea of Sutekh escaping his imprisonment the absolute nightmare scenario, cause the moment he would have entered our universe, it would be over. He had to defeat him by exanding a time corridor almost to eternity, so that sutekh died of old age within it before he could ever reach its end. the fact that sutekh escaped means, it is game over already
