The best singer of the planet...Hail to the Queen Floor Jansen🔥🤘

For me this is the Duet of the Century. Great singing and acting chemistry from both of these vocal heavyweights. And you were guessing right. This is not a competition. All of these people are Dutch singers, who were gathered to sing each others songs or other songs meaningful to them. In Finland we have exactly the same show. It's very famous also here. Well done! ⛄👍

Henk Poort is a beast of a singer. He learned the distortion specifically for this show. And Floor - the two of them together is just amazing. My other Floor favorites from this show are Que se Siente and Mama. You should also check out Emma Heesters singing Strong for Floor. It's a song Floor wrote about her mother and she actually start crying when it's sung to her.

This was the last song of the whole show series where everyone new what Floor can do. Check out the first song of the series where no one thinks the to them unknown Floor, as a metal(frown)singer, will do anything special as she sings Vilja Lied for Henk!

In this show (No competition), just 7 vocalists from different genres (& a host-also a singer). They take turns each week honoring one vocalist by performing a song for them that is either one of theirs or one that influenced their careers. The duet show is just for fun. It was the final show. Such a fun show. Henk actually played the role of the Phantom in the Dutch production. Floor (on the show) explains that she knew Henk from his Phantom roles when she was younger and that she was fangirling about knowing he would be a part of this show. She asked to be able to do this duet with Henk. Henk added the distortion to his voice in Floor's honor. You can see the look on her face when he did it. Floorgasm almost right at the start. Their chemistry and ugh just incredible. Henk is amazing too and someone Floor has respected for a long time. There is nothing this woman can't do. So glad you did this one bud. She also other songs on Beste Zangers, they are : Shallow, I Don't know a thing about love and Winner. Please check them out when you can, they are just mind blowing.

The reason that this show is so popular is that all the artists appreciate each other's choices and talent. And not interrupted by commercials etc. It is all about the music! This duet however is really epic...they have such chemistry!!

In the last episode of each series the singers sing duets. This one was the very last of them. Just as Floor and Henk were to perform a huge thunder/rainstorm broke loose and the organisation wanted to stop filming because of the danger of electrocution and damage to the instruments and the tent they were in was leaking. But as it was the very last duet they went on. If you look very closely you can see the raindrop falling behind Floor and Henk, in the water and the table is wet. How lucky for all of us that they did this magnificient duet!! Btw.. the thunderclap right at the beginning is a real one!!

In the original version of the musical, that final note is an E6. Floor sings it ever so slightly lower in D6, but then again, in the original the note is held for 4 seconds where Floor holds it perfectly, and seemingly effortlessly, for 8 seconds. Also Henk Poort was the original Dutch Phantom when this musical first came out and he was actually Andrew Loyd Webber's favorite. And he was also a massive inspiration for a very young Floor when she watched the musical as a kid. She was actually fangirling a bit when she found out she was going to take part in this show with (as she said it:) THE Henk Poort.

Beste Zangers is a wonderful show and the 2019 season, including Floor Jansen, was magnificent. While there were some performances I liked better than others, they were all wonderful. And by that, I mean all performances by all performers. They were a joy to watch. I was most surprised by Emma Heesters, the younger blonde woman. She didn't seem like she had it in her but she was glorious. At the end of HER episode, Floor selected Emma as the singer that moved her the most, and it was well deserved. It's worth watching the conversation that goes along with every performance because of what you learn about the singers, including Floor. Between Denise Hofs and @jenniezelf, you can find English translations of all of the episodes.

😁 yes multiple Floorgasms on this one! Floor interviewed Henk in a recent video on her channel, that was an interesting chat about ”pigeonholing” singers and such. I read somewhere that Henk Poort learned distortion for this performance. Which is kind of amazing. Plenty of gorgeous singing from Floor on this show, but if you want to see a full on aria from Floor, there’s an older video of her singing Puccini’s O Mio Babbino Caro and that’s just gorgeous.

This show is for the best singers. They are singing for each other the song that they love. The one who is sitting next to the presenter is the one who is sitting during the episode and all the others are singing for that person. They are all best singers. Even the presenter

The hole show is good there are subtitle versions available as its in dutch they talk and sing to each other no competition a refreshing format .Just as a note the sound tech guys have seen reedings of 120 db on stage with NW from Floor !!

The show format is that bunch of known musicians get together, talk about music, their life, how they all relate to each others musically perhaps and then they sing songs to each other based on like "this is a song that i remixed in your musical style..." or "I tought myself compression technique so i could sing this song for you in a style more familiar to you..." or "I still remember that even, so I 'll sing this song that carries a message about it..." etc... etc... it's this feel good get together concept of conversations and life in general. That style of program is quite popular in Europe today, each country having their own localized version.

This is a show were singers sing each others repertoire. It's not a contest but to honour each other. Floor is obviously a goddess. My favorite song of this show is when she sings Winner for Tim Akkerman. He wrote this song for his Brother who is disabelt and rides a wheelchair. He always said I can 't cry. You can geuss what he did when he heard Floor's version. Also a must see is Emma Heesters singing Floor's song Stronger. Floor wrote this for her mother who is reumatic and had a rough time during her illness. And of course a must see is the song sound off silence, the version off Disturbed. Henk Poort sings this song for Floor. Specially for her he learned to sing with distorcion. As a opera singer this is a no go.

Prior to doing this show Floor was virtually unknown in the Netherlands. She agreed to do the show primarily because Henk was on the show as he was her childhood hero. Only one of the other singers had heard of her and so they had no idea what was going to happen. She opened the series singing the Aria Vilja Lied for Henk Poort, the astonishment of the other singers at her singing is a delight to behold. She does a version of Shallow that is better than Lady Gaga's and every performance of hers is worth the listen. Yeaaaay! Finally the Beste Zangers sessions! Every song she sang for her fellow Dutch artists is beautiful sang and performed! The band is also very good! Make sure you'll check Strong sang by Emma Heesters. She sings it for Floor when it's her evening. Really touching as Floor wrote Strong during After Forever. Super emotional! Beste Zangers started in 2009, the host(s) are musicians/singers as well and they're always going to Ibiza to film ☀️

i watch this show every year it's a lot of fun because you can see the other side of the artists in 2019 Floor was in the show and i'm dutch and never heard of Floor and i'm a metalhead so under what rock was i have been living??? in this show they told what Floor had done and still does and that was ofcourse Nightwish, looked them up on youtube and my mouth feld open that's the moment i was hooked on Nightwish and Floor Jansen, how is it possible to be famous around the world but not in your home country, after this show she did a solo tour in the Netherlands and she gets the credits she deserved but you still don't hear Nightwish here on the radio and thats a shame, she did a number of songs in this show like de vilja lied, shalow by her own and a duet with Tim Akkerman, a spanish song a dutch song and your a winner from Tim Akkerman but every time she sang everybody was in trance i never heard any female vocalist sing like Floor can she is so versatile just out of this world. thnx for your great reaction and greetings from the Netherlands

Yes your right they are all singers and they do sing for each other But believe it or not Floor is the least known and the first song she sings on the show Vilja Lied catches the other singers off guard And there reactions are priceless . Just in case (which I can really recommend) you're going to do more of "Beste Zangers" make sure you take the clips posted by "jenniezelf" on KZfaq as she has also included the talking / interviews before and after with english subtitles. The concept of the show is, that on one day all singers sing a song for one of them. It's a song that is by that singer or a song that means a lot for him / her. So it is very interesting to get to know the story behind each song. And it will help to understand the reactions of the other singers. You’ll also get to know a couple of new things about Floor. Floor is singing there in German, Dutch, Spanis and English.

It's funny that if you want to prove to someone that Floor is the Queen of metal then you just play them this song 😲 Henk Poort is such a great vocalist that Floor taught him how to sing with distortion in a few hours! Henk really put it to use when he sang 'Sound of Silence' Disturbed style as his song for Floor. You should check it out...

Love this version just as much as I love Nightwish's version with Tarja and Marko (don't think you watched that yet?). Still hoping to get a third version with Floor and Marko someday. 🤞 Henk's Sound of Silence already came up in the comments, but I also love his version of Vincent. And Tim's version of Nemo for Floor is amazing. Sounds quite different, but very cool. And of course every song Floor did is worth watching.

Beste Zangers means Best Singers. and on each show one of the performers has their day where everyone else performs something of theirs or something that means alot to them. Hank is The Netherlands Phantom of the Opera he has performed it regularly.

Hey Thomas, you’re absolutely right. They are all famous singers. Every episode one of them is the main guest en the others sing for him/her mostly a song that is written by that person or means a lot to them. Henk is Floor’s idol ever since she was young, so really excited to sing with him. In return Henk is a classical singer who learned to sing with distortion under 2 hours just for Floor. First time he used it was when Floor was the main guest and he sang ‘Sound of silence’ for her. Absolutely worth watching! Floor did very versatile songs for the others, also Defenitely worth watching.🙋🏼‍♀️

All her performances on this show were queen-level. All the singers are from the Netherlands and the show is no competition, they just sing songs with personal relevance to each other, so the "contest" if you will is to get the one on the center couch emotional :-) The others, except partially Tim Akkermann didn't know Floor and what she could do. She shows her versatility one evening after another and you can see plenty of jaws dropping from the other singers. So, she sang "Vilja Lied", a classical piece in german for Henk Poort, "Mama", one of Samanthas greatest hits in dutch to her, "Shallow" from Lady Gaga to Emma, "I don't know a thing about love" translated to english from and to Ruben, "Que se Siente" in spanish from and to Rolf, "Winner" from and to Tim, and then in the final episode where everyone does duets she did "Phantom of the Opera" with Henk and "Shallow" again with Tim. You may want to check on the channel of jenniezelf because she has the songs with the little talk before and after the song with english subtitles. Very recommended, you get some context for the singers and the songs, that whole format is really nice and the other singers are great, too.

Great reaction! My favorite from this show is vilja lied which floor sings to henk and is the first song performed on this season of the show. If possible, if you do react to more of these, find the versions that have a bit of the intro and wrap up with subtitles. It really is worth it. Also, 5k subs!! Hell yeah!!! Congrats!

I don't know if anyone's mentioned it, but there's plan for Henk to perform on stage alongside floor to duet this song when NW play in the Netherlands. Postponed for now, but I'm so jealous of anyone who's going to be there!

the show is quite unique. You invite 7 singers who bring a list of songs of themselves or that they have a connection with. you then record 8 shows with an artist in the hotseat each time and the last a duet show. the results are really great because this is recorded for a week on a holiday stay, the atmosphere is very pleasant. because you sing a song from an artist's list it often affects more. by the way, beste zangers means best singer as well as dear singer there is, by the way, a very small competition element. but it is completely irrelevant and also arbitrary. "which singer touched me the most or I thought that trumpet was genius at that moment".

The show takes 7 singers from different styles of music. Each episode one is placed on the central bench and the other 6 will sing each a song that has a special meaning for the central placed singer. That can be a song of him/her but also something with a good or bad memory what does give many emotional moments.The 8th (last) episode is the duet episode, each singer may choose one of the others to sing a duet. The beauty of the show is that artists most of the time need to step out of their own musical style comfort zone or change the song into their comfort zone. To me it looked more like he was concerned not confused. They know each other. The problem is that there are people that would hurt themselves attempting that.

Its a TV show filmed in Ibiza. These are all known Dutch singers that sing each other’s songs in their own format. Floor won this show, obviously 🙄 But Henk Poort is a very good singer, certainly no amateur!

She wasn't known in her home country up to this point, because metal is not that popular in The Netherlands. Just incredible. She just opened the mouth in the first performance (Vilja Lied, check it out next) and that changed forever. Afterwards she started a series of solo shows there and I think everything was sold out. Sadly coronavirus stopped her from doing the last one, which was founded from fans to be released as DVD. But I think the show is still set to happen at some point next year. Also, Henk is supposed to be at the Nightwish show in Amsterdam to sing Phantom of the Opera. Ridiculous how many great things the stupid virus spoiled. Anyway, I don't know if you know about chess but I have to do the obligated joke for this song. Queen to D6.

Idk if anyone commented yet, but in Beste Zangers there are only Dutch singer, and basically all it's about is just an evening of jamming. Tbh, I prefer this over X-Factor or The Voice (auditions, mainly) because you know they're good. Also, Henk Poort is the Dutch Phantom in the musical played in NL ;) cheers m8
