Awesome reaction Eric! And yeah, it's quite epic with the dove and those grannies throwing their granny undies onto stage. Just for some reference: The original from 50 years ago: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bpNilNab0aiqeac.html And Heino started singing metal (industrial) a few years ago with Rammstein, live on stage in Wacken: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hdKHZLmdl9XGh30.html And ehm..... Heino is an albino, that's why he always wears dark sunglasses.

I am German and I have known of Heino my entire life - but more like something you know exists, laugh about but never really check out. Schlager is also absolutely not my cup of tea. But now that I hear this metal version of his own Schlager song, I actually think it’s quite cool. In term so of the text, it’s painting the picture of a love story in the idyllic Swiss alps. The title translates to “Blue blooms the gentian” (a blue flower growing in the mountains) or in Heino’s metal version it’s blooming black. Heino actually joined Rammstein on stage in Wacken to perform the song “Sonne” together.

Man, I had no idea Heino had done some metal covers of his songs. That's honestly hilarious. And good on him for having fun with it. I could not care less for the music he's otherwise famous for, but I can absolutely respect him just doing something he thought was fun. By the looks of things he even joined Rammstein on stage at Wacken once.

I am unsure . In early part of Video there are two elderly Security Guards. They look like german folksingers , Wildecker Herzbuben '.

Well other people may be able to go more in depth, but basically you said it already: He's a folk and schlager singer who one morning during his fifth Saturn return or what it was, woke up and decided to join the dark side of the force. And did some heavy metal versions of German pop music as well as his own songs like this one, and cover some other German rock and metal bands. Rammstein, Ärzte, and what there all is. Two or three albums by now. That being said, Rammstein might well be worth a few reaction videos as well.

The much older folk version is cheesy AF, but this metal reboot is actually pretty good despite the visuals! LOL. And yes, Heino's signature is his dark glasses, as he was born with a visual problem and tbh I've never seen him without the glasses.

What was that ERIC? you kidding me? Since when has your channel turned into a satiric one? German Schlager that will never reach my eardrums, cause my ears shrink by themselves to 0 when they hear the first notes, no matter if its the original or the metal-version........even if i am conciousless But....I confess...you made me laugh......so far ....good job done ERIC

Enzian is a flower, I think gentian in English. Weird, it is also a name of a WWII German rocket. Early seventies some German '' Schlager'-singers had considerable success in the Dutch hitparade, apart from Heino there were amongst others Freddy Breck, Denny Christian and from Austria Udo Jürgens. I did not like it much, too much kitsch to my taste.
