I say that every time I hear him sing, with PTX or solo (can't wait for his concert next month!!!).

I like the pre-concerns listed then they always disappear for Pentatonix.

flex97 just wondering how many more reactions he’ll have to do of them before he stops having concerns? I would think they would’ve disappeared a while ago since his concerns are gone after every time he says it.

Whether or not she's pretty isn't even close to being up for debate... but I'm with Kyle on this one... that smile! "City girls just seem to find out early How to open doors with just a smile" It's an easy one... but name that tune.

I mean...Scott has most of the solos in PTX. So if anyone doesn't get enough credit for background parts it's Kirstin and Mitch. Their background harmonies (and how well their voices blend) are really such an under-appreciated part of their sound and success.

@@benji0099 I think it's Kirsten and Kevin. Mitch's range gave him quite a reputation in the group, Scott's usually the lead, and Avi is basically a favorite.

@@abeybekalu9536 I was talking about background parts specifically. Plus I see thousands of comments praising Kevin's beatboxing and whenever he gets a singing part. Mitch and Kirstin do the most background harmonies in PTX songs, and I was pointing out that those harmonies are horribly underrated and rarely commented on (in my opinion).

@@abeybekalu9536 I must have missed those comments....and that's just one song lmao. They sing background parts/melodies on almost every PTX original and cover since Scott takes about 80% of the leads for some reason. This is my opinion, don't know why you're so intent on trying to argue with me.

They were JUST starting out!” And they must not read their comment section because there’s always that one person who warns them that PTX starts out a little rough around the edges. Lol.

I remember watching that season thinking how insane they were THEN! Of course now they're super polished and undeniably improved, but if you watched when they were on The Sing Off, they were absolutely something special(and ran away with the win as soon as they first performed lol).

Hi Karen! You can learn! If you hum to yourself in such a way that you're making your voice sound "low", try to see if you can feel the hum / vibration in your "chest". As you "hmmmmmmmmmm" you should feel it. The best way I can describe what going into a "head" or "flipped" voice feels like is if you do that classic yodel that sounds like "yodel ay he huuuuu" Where the He Huuuu is that much higher pitch part of the yodel. The "yodel ay" is typically in your chest while the "he huuu" is in your head. The transition between those two parts is sometimes called "flipping". Full disclosure. I'm *Not* a vocal coach or voice teacher. This is just what I've learned myself or from others over the years. Let me know if that helps!

I literally just clicked onto one of Haley Reinhart's videos after I was your and Kyle's comments and it has a *perfect* example of this at 0:53. She starts in chest voice and then briefly switches into flipped/head/falsetto voice when she does the yodel. She's an awesome singer, you should check her out if you don't know her. Yes! I keep waiting for the rest! Born to Be Wild, Stuck Like Glue, Let's Get It On, and of course, Dog Days Are Over are some of my favorites. While Pentatonix has definitely come a long way since The Sing Off, they were such a cut above any other group on the show any season.
