What makes Extra Time the best is the fact that they have such a good banter amongst one another and don’t take themselves so seriously 100% of the time, and that actually creates the environment where everyone is comfortable to share stories like Jan’s. So much credit to Dan, but also the show must have great producers to create this type of balanced environment.

I think it’s really awesome to see the respect that AC Milan has for their fans. And that respect goes back to them, sure they were upset by the loss but that’s pure loyalty on display. Probably why it looks so strange to so many people, they can’t comprehend that level of loyalty and respect.

The hardcore fan bases weild too much power in the Italian game. I didn't see/listen to this episode of Extra Time so I don't know if they mentioned it but it wasn't the run of mill fan the Milan team got a talking by. It was by the hardcore element (Ultras).

@@nicolasthecaged4940 Don't kid yourself. In many cases there are strong arm tactics involved. It's not a badge of honor like you are making it out to be. My club Juventus tried to be blackmailed by one of these groups. Online research is available for you if you are so inclined. Won't surprise me if clubs increasingly distance themselves once and for all.

@@CrociatoAzzurro the only ones using “strong arm tactics” are these billion dollar sports teams that don’t give 2 shits what their fans think and drive up ticket prices so that only the wealthy can attend their games and charge you a weeks wages to eat at the game if you manage to get a ticket to go to one. Imagine how it was and still is in Latin America! It is compounded by the bad economic and social conditions of poverty. Also imagine then how it was for a person who is naturally shy like Messi. He would get so nervous and anxious that he would throw up many times before and after games once he reached 1st division, even Maradona talked about how much this would happen to Messi when he noticed it for the first time while being coach for Argentina in 2010. This is why Messi will chew gum before and during the first half of games.

Everyone is afraid to say it because apparently we the fans hold all the power. But funding the salaries of multi-millionaires by purchasing a ticket is your problem. It shouldn't give you a right to demand anything. A player shouldn't be talking to a bunch of criminal elements. You could have given your €200 to some child in need, you decided to entertain yourself which IS your right, but you shouldn't be entitled to too much else. You are financing a corporation-watch your show and leave, the corporation shouldn't care about your feelings

Or maybe it’s because it’s in the French league that psg has won every year, they’re not one sided against the French it’s just that there’s no excitement in Ligue 1 but there is in La Liga and EPL. It’s unfortunately the truth, also if you actually watched this video they had a really great discussion about fans, coaches and pressure of being a football player. Maybe listen to that instead of wanting a reaction to a goal
