The lead singer Suzuka Nakamoto ( also called Su by fans ) is honestly one of the best singers i've ever heard , her voice is just something else it hits you right in the soul and this song makes me emotional everytime i hear it it's just so incredibly beautiful , Babymetal is indeed a group you need to get used to if you're not familliar with them or Japanese artists but i think everyone who gives them a chance will see their quality , i'm again so happy you Sir and Mrs Coach react to them and very glad you like them !

The BABYMETAL fandom does feel special, and I think that's because BABYMETAL is special. I can't explain it, but I'm much more emotionally invested in this band than I have ever been in any other band, and I think it's the same for most fans. Maybe it's because we have pretty much seen the girls grow up, maybe it's because they have fought so hard to earn their place in a pretty hostile Metal scene, maybe it's because of the positivity in their music and their smiles... probably a combination of all of those and more. All I know is that they are having a very positive effect on my emotional balance and I would say on my whole life. I'm so glad that I found them!

BABYMETAL are an excellent band. Truly exceptional. You don’t sell out world tours over 14 years, while singing in a foreign language, while having fans eating out of your hand without having immense talent & winning personalities. I can't remember if I mentioned this before on your videos but, im 47 and wife and i saw them live twice in Texas last August and, even though they can't bring along the giant stage production stuff, the payoff was we got to see them truly up close way more than anyone in this video did! We got smiles and waves and stuff and it was incredible! They truly are masterful stage performers and are a marvel to witness live!!! In Dallas, it was standing only in the venue and when she asked everyone to turn on their lights i turned around and the venue was so bright it was surreal!

MOAMETAL and MOMOMETAL, who are in charge of dancing, basically stand in front of SUMETAL and dance, which is a feature of BABYMETAL. It is wonderful that you noticed that!　SUMETAL might be a "back vocalist" in a sense. ha ha BABYMETAL is not only the girls and the band, but also the people who create the songs and the stage direction as a team.

Both versions are fantastic. The piano arrangement really showcases how amazing Su's voice is. There is ZERO pitch correction on her, and she is insanely good with her vibrato, phrasing, and dynamics. This Metal version is more about the power of the song and high energy. The song is about the coming of the New Earth (such as described by Eckhart Tolle). Ragnarok is like an apocalyptic event that changes everything for the better. "Monochrome Firework" is a reference to a Solar Flare, which is symbolic of the transformation. In the music video, umbrellas fall from Heaven as a symbol of Divine Protection so people can survive the transition. The video is Monochrome black and white, but in the end changes to vibrant, beautiful colors. In fairness, it does take a LONG time to get the full depth of what we do in BABYMETAL. It's deliberately designed that way, so you're constantly discovering new things. There are tons of layers in the lyrics and arrangement -- it's constructed so you can vibe with it on first listen and then uncover greater depth on repeated listenings. Probably my favourite song of Babymetal and my eyes just tear up every time I hear it. And I love Momometals reaction to the mobile phone lights. The way she claps, you just know she loves what she sees and are just SO happy to be there. I've been to just one concert with them, but the moment they asked us to take our mobile phones out was magic. The whole show was magic, but that was very special. And yeah, I saw them in a small venue in Norway with about 1000 people, and I usually hate Norwegian crowds because they're there just to drink beer and talk to each other. Not this time. I can honestly say that ALL of them were fans and there for the band and the music, the mosh'sh pit was going and it was just a crazy, good time all around. Babymetal is just THAT good!

Babymetal are huge worldwide, I think they are less known snd familiar with people because metal is really not as mainstream as pop hip hop etc, so kpop like blackpink, gidle twice etc as Asian groups will be more familiar to the eider public. The flying drones with cameras that enabled the beautiful aerial cinematograph were manipulated by experts including Ms. Shiraishi. She is a member of team Japan for World Drone Racing Championship. Western (American) Kami Band played in the girls' back like they did in BM's North American tour with DETHKLOK and EU/UK tour last year. Since you have now reach a new level in your understanding and appreciation of Babymetal, I think it's time for "Babymetal - Tales of the Destinies (Tokyo Dome Live 2016) Eng Subs". Played in front of a crowd of 55,000 people, they've only done the song live one time due to it's technical nature.

Got to see them last year in Seattle . Show was so good. And this song live was amazing.

The international Babymetal fan community isn't huge compared to some other artists, but what we lack in numbers we make up for in enthusiasm (and organization). I'm part of a fan group with members in Florida, Ohio, Texas, UK, Ireland, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Sweden, and Finland, and I'm from Australia, and we all travel to Japan several times a year to meet up and go to the big Babymetal headline shows. Most of us were at this show at PIA Arena last April, and most of us will be heading over in the coming weeks for Legend MM and I know there are other fans coming from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, and South America, so there will be fans from all corners of the world attending.

What makes them special and pretty unique in my opinion is that me a 55 year old metal head likes them my daughter 26 years old likes them my grand daughter 5 loves them and my 82 year old mother likes them not many bands have that kind of age range in fans lol 🦊

Very much impressed with your assessment of Monochrome both this and the piano version.

If you go to a Jpop or Kpop concert, you're going to get your moneys worth. I also noticed that the two backups were out front, and I think it's because they're not just backups like in Western music, but they're an integral part of the performance - they hype the crowd, lead the crowd, etc. With this group, I've always been impressed by their stage presence and crowd control, even in their earliest days. It's amazing to see such young women seem to feel so at home performing in front of such huge crowds. It's yet another group that, even if they're not to your taste, you have to give a lot of respect to.

They have only performed 2 arena shows outside of Japan. Wembley Arena, England and the LA Forum, USA. The touring band with them now is the Western Band, the original Kami Band retired. Suzuka Nakamoto is Su-Metal Moa Kikuchi is Moametal Momoko Okazaki is Momometal the newest member as of 2023. All 3 are graduates of Sakura Gakuin. Su is now involved with writing of the song more, her first input was "Doki DOki Morning". She asked for lyric changes in order for it to be easier for her to sing it. Moa now creates the major steps for the songs with Mikikometal, AKA Mikiko Mizuno, their choreographer from the very beginning assisting with finalizing the dance. The Trio of singer/storyteller with 2 dancers is from the Japanese traditional traveling entertainers. Ready for another Rock/Metal band -- Nemophila, "Seize the Fate" live. They toured the US last year and in 2022 they played the Whiskey a Go Go.

I love that mobiles aren't allowed to be turned on at Japanese concerts. Reminds me of the 70's and 80's, when we just had to enjoy the live experience in the moment and had to forego the pleasures of today, when everyone can watch the gig through their phone screen while in the same room as the band and then go home with a few very shaky videos with intermittent and distorted audio but no real memory of the live performance. It's also rude in Japan to shout 'encore/more' at the end of a set as it implies that the band hasn't already given 100% (the band usually announces the last song as such but never come back on once they leave the stage). 🦊🤘🤘🦊

I went the concert in Houston, TX that kicked off there US tour on August 30th. I was relatively new to BabyMetal and feel like a proud grandfather when I see them. I've seen them grow up before my eyes on all there videos. They were great to see live even though the venue is not like the venues in Japan. Would love to go to Japan to see them. Genuine great ladies that love and appreciate there fans. Before coming off hiatus in early 2023 where they had been off for a while there was speculation that they would not return. GLAD they did and rocked it in 2023 with World tour. Latest album even beat Metallica in Metal Hammer magazine top metal album contest coming in #2. I believe Su-Metal won favorite female metal artist in another contest. Nobody was even close. Babymetal fans are very protective and loyal to the girls. One reactor slammed ROAD OF RESISTANCE and didn't even finish the song before cutting it off. He called himself some sort of Metal Music expert, but didn't even know what a "Wall of Death" is. BM fans ate his lunch. He made another video apologizing. BM fans don't care if BM is not you cup of tea but to DOG em out and not even finish the video. They tore him up. The KAMI band whether it is EAST Kami band or the WEST they are TOP NOTCH and was part of the reason they chewed him up. World Tour singing most of their songs in Japanese. GERMANS, SPANIARDS, ITALIANS, MALAYSIANS, FRENCH, AND MORE singing along! Great reaction! Hope to see you enjoying more of them.

Monochrome is probably my second favourite song of theirs overall. Next to BxMxC which is another good one, it very much showcases the experimental side of Babymetal. It’s pretty much a rap song but super heavy. I agree with your wife when she says Babymetal is underrated. They are a name well known in the metal scene but people tend to overlook them a lot. There is a bit of a stigma attached to them as I am sure you have noticed. I noticed someone recommended Babymetal Death Legend 1997. Now at this point you have witnessed the playful side of Babymetal, and currently with Monochrome you have seen the more mature/serious side to them, but with Death you will see the more “darker” side to Babymetal. All fun in over the top theatrics, but understandably it could be a bit of a challenge to the perspective of some in the west.

I really enjoy your reaction's to Babymetal. I hope this won't sound disparaging in any way but you two do not superficially look or sound like what one might suppose someone listening to metal of any kind would look or sound like. Which makes your open minded, honest, thoughtful comments all the more enjoyable. This performance is one of my favorite too. Every aspect of a show like this has to be coordinated to the second. The vocals, backing tracks, instrumentals, lighting cues, There is so much joyful emotion coming from the band. This was the concert where Momometal officially became the third permanent member of BM. The crowd interaction has always seemed to me particularly sweet. Lastly, I'm just theorizing here but I think as the ladies have matured along with their voices there is now-even if subtly-less of a disconnect in the performance. EG there's not so much of how does this Jpop and metal work so well and now it's more of "damn this just works so well!" If you get my drift.

I have been listening to Babymetal for years now. First time I watched them was in the Tonight Show with Steven Colbert. It was more of a wtf shock spectacle. But they have been evolving and growing. The talent has always been there. I wonder how long they can keep up with the current act. They are no kids anymore. I want to see what is next.

Well so.ehow, they establish their usual commune, 40 % female and ages between 10 and 85. Thats not quite normal for Metal concerts. And they have in fact two live Bands nowadays, their old Kami Band and the Wstern Nami Band that originaly Was there for US and european concerts. But in reality they now play on most concerts even in Japan.In fact this concert used the Western Kami Band.

Jpop artist isn't like really well known compare to like kpop because they don't really promote too much to western countries like kpop. Japan is the 2nd biggest market in the world so they don't really need to and the 3 biggest economy in the world. For a small country in size they pack a lot of power in wealth. I mean they do tour in the USA but Japan in general don't really market themselves to America in almost every thing. For products you already know they are either #1 or #2 in the world in product qualities so as their service.
