They were personally invited to this charity concert by the First Lady of France. The French president was also there, and later they all took a photo together.

BLACKPINK performs at different levels depending on the venues. You know when they are in their bag and this is a great example. their concerts its more about crowd engagement so less is focused on perfection because its their concert they perform how they want to and for the fans sake get loose a little bit and have fun. Their haters will drag them for it because they expect perfection in everything 😅. but actuality thats Blackpinks charm they give different energy depending on the situation. any outgoing person knows festivals, concerts, award show stages are different crowds and energy. They have LEVELS!

An excellent analysis! I attended Hamilton day 1 and while they were far from perfect their *performance* was absolutely outstanding. I felt like there were connecting to me and what I wanted to see from them. I don't want a repeat of their M/V's on stage, I want more and that's what they gave me. I've been a blink since their debut and as you correctly summarized their audience determines what you will see/hear/experience from them. No better example than this or their 2019 Coachella performance. BTW, I haven't heard anyone use the term "bag" for at least 30+yrs so kudos to you 🙂

It was a charity event hosted by the First Lady of France and she invited them herself. She even said once she got Blackpink, it was easier to get the other artists to perform 😂. The President of France there, Pharrell Williams, Kid Cudi and other amazing French artists. They also met Roger Federer (one of the best Tennis players in the world), they met and performed with Daniel Lozakovic (an insane violinist), they met Frédéric Arnault (CEO of TAG Heuer and son of billionaire Bernard Arnault)...he actually attended their concert in LA. President Macron also took a picture for Blackpink and Pharrell 😂. The girls made him their photographer😭😂

This is a charity event which the first Lady of France invited them not their usual concert. They can make an event or any special stage their concert that's why Blackpink good at. You should react to the gala shut down Blackpink is even more hype.

Great Reaction Kyochyn! I wish you would have reacted to the 15 minute version! After Pink Venom the violinist came out and did the full version of Paganini: La Campanella intro to Shut Down where he joined BlackPink and the orchestra! This will go down as one of BlackPink most famous live performances for now!🙏🏻

In this performance they know it's getting recorded and will be broadcast on TV. The world tour is for live audiance only, they try to hype the crowd present at the venue. It is not for the broadcast. You can't judge the concert experience by watching fancams!!!!! Attend the concert and then give opinion.

Yes. A lot of people who are new to the fandom and new to YG don't realize that YG's philosophy for concerts has always been more about creating a festival/party atmosphere, where the artists and the fans in the audience feel like they're all at party together. The performances are all about hyping up the audience and creating a mood of celebration. (Big Bang almost never did synchronized choreo, especially in their later years. 2NE1 did a bit more than Big Bang, but still loose and more about vibing than it was about tight synchronization.) Perfect in-sync choreography is like number 4 or 5 on the list of priorities. Perfect recreations of the studio-recorded songs is also about that level on the list. The group is celebrating the songs with the fans. Meanwhile, the haters go through fan cam videos frame by frame looking for little mistakes in the choreo and when they find something they think they've got some new weapon they can use. Long-time fans are like: "Yeah, so what? If we wanted to see a bunch of cheerleaders doing perfectly synced robot choreo, we would be fans of those other groups. But we want to have the time of our lives partying with Blackpink at their concert and that's why we're Blinks."

Ya this is way different from a concert where it’s just a live audience full of blinks. This will be broadcasted for the whole world to see and as you said there will be important political figures at the charity event. I loved this performance, but I still prefer their concert performances any day, those are such a hype and the girls are so relaxed.
