Hey friend, "favela vive" is a project of the ADL group where artists who are born in favelas are invited. This project is very successful here in Brazil because it talks about the naked reality of the favela. Regarding the documentary "news of a particular war" it is from the early 2000s and portrays the reality of the favelas in Rio de Janeiro. Despite having slums scattered throughout the country in Rio, crime is more active and more violent. But the thing is already much worse that in the early 2000s the police of Rio de Janeiro are completely corrupt the last 3 governors of the state are arrested for corruption. It's really a war zone. I am a resident of Penha neighborhood in the north of Rio known for its Penha favela complex.

Tanto o Lord, quanto o DK cantaram a vivência deles no crime, eu recomendo o EP. do DK, O contador de Histórias pela Pineapple. Recomendo também Poetas no Topo 3.2 a parte do Lord fala bem sobre isso. Toda a discografia do ADL (Além Da Loucura) é incrível, espero que você tenha a oportunidade de ouvir.

O que eu mais curto nesse canal é que, diferente de outros reacts feitos por estrangeiros, os comentários dele sempre são bem embasados, fazem o espectador ver as vezes algo que passou despercebido, tipo, ele faz uma literal análise apontado várias coisas sobre o conteúdo que está assistindo que claro, sempre com uma perspectiva americana, mas muitas situações são parecidas o suficiente com a vivência americana que ele entende, talvez não todas as nuances exclusivas que são brasileiras, mas ele sempre se empenha a entender-las assistindo documentários... É bem diferente da grande maioria de outros "reacters" de outro país que descobriram a formula do sucesso aqui no KZfaq, que é só fazer um react ao Brasil, elogiando, e vai chover de visualizações da gente.

Recomendo o Documentário do MV Bill, Falcão, meninos do tráfico, chocou e choca até hoje, MV visitou favelas de norte ao sul mostrando as condições de vidas das crianças rodeadas pelo tráfico.

Esse cara é muito foda, no segundo verso do ADL ele já pegou a visão de cara que era ele desenhando o mindset de quem realmente vive na favela dentro do crime. O mano manja muito. When BK says "The one who comes to kill me is the same who sold me a gun" he's talk about the guns prohibition in Brazil. Here is so hard to get a gun, so the dealer's guns was get from a cop. The same cop who sold them a gun, comes up on favela to the war. Is basicaly the way how the State enjoys the Drugs War everyday, killing the black poor people and making cops and polyticals rich.

Não existem tantas formas do tráfico conseguir armas por aqui, ou é através da polícia/exército ou através de um mercado negro limitado já que a proibição dificulta a operação ilegal uma vez que ela não tem por onde se camuflar.

O Bk não está falando sobre proibição ou não da venda de armas. O verso não tem nada a ver com isso. Ele está falando sobre a hipocrisia da polícia e de forma geral da sociedade que alimenta uma guerra falida em que o lado "bom" contribui pra que a guerra se mantenha enquanto as pessoas apontam o dedo para os traficantes como se eles fossem a causa, quando, na verdade, eles são a consequência dessa estrutura e da política de drogas falida que nós temos

Man, i've been following you a while since i saw your analysis of the songs from Racionais MC and the movie Carandiru, you understand the song better than some people that actually live in Brazil do, and i couldn't be happier when i saw the notification of your video reacting to mine subtitled video, i love that song because of the deep and "raw" lyrics and i really hoped that someday it would get some international attention. The lyrics from the ADL guys work exactly on the way you interpreted them. Lord (first rapper) brings the first person view of a young newly initiated into crime. DK (fourth rapper) brings the vision of a more experienced criminal, as if it were the future of the first young man presented.
