Taking away his opportunity to perform in the finals based on a "woman's" (apparently, a very important detail) claims and not letting him go through the legal processes before just taking away everything from him reminds me of so many men who have been accused of far worse things than what he has allegedly done. I cannot wait for him to sue the EBU for defamation, considering how they pretty much set him up so that the situation looks way way way, way way worse and his actions heinous and borderline predatory.

Thank you for your fun reaction, sadly Joost was disqualified, allegedly there was an incident with a camera woman. He repeatedly requested to not be filmed, but was still filmed by this woman behind the scenes and verbally made this clear he didn't want that(still not clear what happened as the EBU and the lady in question don't want to clearify). He wasn't allowed to perform in the finals. #justiceforjoost

Joost has been disqualified hours before his performance in the finals. Read the official statement here from The Netherlands broadcaster Avrotros: Statement in English We have taken note of the disqualification by the EBU. AVROTROS finds the disqualification disproportionate and is shocked by the decision. We deeply regret this. An incident occurred after last Thursday's performance. Against clearly made agreements, Joost was filmed when he had just gotten off stage and had to rush to the greenroom. At that moment, Joost repeatedly indicated that he did not want to be filmed. This wasn’t respected. This led to a threatening movement from Joost towards the camera. Joost did not touch the camera woman. This incident was reported, followed by an investigation by the EBU and police. Yesterday and today we consulted extensively with the EBU and proposed several solutions. Nevertheless, the EBU has still decided to disqualify Joost Klein. AVROTROS finds the penalty very heavy and disproportionate. We stand for good manners -let there be no misunderstanding about that- but in our view, an exclusion order is not proportional to this incident. We are very disappointed and upset for the millions of fans who were so excited for tonight. What Joost brought to the Netherlands and Europe shouldn’t have ended this way.

He didn't perform at all, and you might be wright. They didn't want him to win. Just read a reaction from someone that lives in Sweden and if you have an opinion or are a reacting a little weird they won't hesitate that they take measures against that group or person. We are very sad in the Netherlands, because it was never so booming. It was really a party the last few weeks and sad it had to end this way. 😢 Welkom in Europa jongen💙💙.

Why do you say that? Just because he asked why she shouldn't have to answer the question during the press conference? Cause honestly, why shouldn't she answer that question? It's nothing personal, but she's representing her country and a lot of people questioned if it would be a danger to the other contestants. Not because of her, but because of her country and all the protests going on around the world. And these aren't peaceful protests. In the Netherlands we are all about free speech and being honest. So the fact that other people were telling her she didn't have to answer, is ridiculous. Let her make her own choice at least🤷‍♀️ her answer was great right? At least I thought so.
