Taylor’s most important contribution to music is her way of validating the female experience and emotions. Through her songwriting, she shows us that what we’re feeling isn’t unique, we’re not alone, and it’s ok to feel the way we do. ❤

To me, mad woman is a great parallel musically to The Man, while holding the same message. Like, women are expected to take everything in good fun, while men are given so much slack for doing the same exact thing. It's so interesting that Taylor can capture a deep message in any type of genre or "sound".

Taylor validates our feelings. And so many songs have the meaning she wrote, but are still open to interpretation to where others feel it emotionally with their own different experiences and validates those feelings. Its so therapeutic to listen to her.

This song means so much to me, as a survivor of narcissistic abuse. I think many more of us women know what this feels like - to have our voices and feelings diminished by someone who calls you crazy. Holding someone accountable for their behavior isn’t crazy and it never was. As someone who has always loved music but didn’t start deep diving into Taylor Swift’s work until the pandemic, (privately- though I wish I had thought about becoming a reaction channel!) it’s always a joy seeing people become Swifties. She really is amazing, and so is the fan base (mostly.) If you’re on Facebook and over 40, there’s a group called Gen X Swifties and it’s a great, positive community. I absolutely believe that Taylor was sent to this planet to help us face and truly feel our own emotions, without having to stifle them or feel guilty for having them, and to teach us by example how to process out pain, trauma, and confusion so we can learn from the experience and then let it go so it no longer has the power to fester inside of us. My generation was taught to suck it up and deal with whatever was thrown at us...to be tough and in the end, bottle up our negative emotions. She's here to heal us from that so we can evolve as healthy human beings. I love watching you embrace what makes her special!!!
