My Scottish brother, there is NO "SCH" SOUND IN VERSTAPPEN. This is my absolute pet peeve with the BBC commentators, but they tend to be English, so it is to be expected they are ignorant about languages to an embarrassing degree. Would you pronounce snow, schnow? or say schtop for stop? No. Neither do we. Why this insistence on adding a German sound to a Dutch word?! Drives me batty when they jabber on about "SCHNEIJDER" passing the ball. The worst part is that in Dutch a SCH sounds like SG. It's the kind of mistake only possible when truly ignorant of not just 1, but 2 of the languages spoken by your closest neighbours. Since you seem nice, I figured I would take the trouble of letting you know. Have a good one wherever you are.

Max and Daniel banter always makes me happy, and the banter did not really change when Daniel moved to McLaren and Renault, those guys are just two goofballs having fun. On track Max and off track Max are two different people, on track he's a calculated assassin who takes no prisoners, off track he's the guy who will get you to laugh out loud and get you in trouble for his silly antics and jokes :p

His dad was in the Benetton team with Michel Schumacher. When Max was born they lived in the same apartment building as Schumacher. And his mom races too.......that's why he is so good.

He started karting at 4 years old. and when he was 7 years he started his first championship wich he won btw. From there on he won every championship he raced in. He then went in formula racing when he was 16 years, first in Florida and then F3 championship, he came in second in his first year, but Doktor Helmut Marko saw Max driving in a F3 race in the wet and he was 2 seconds per lap faster then anyone on the track. Then Red Bull wanted him in sister team Torro rosso at 17 years of age. The rest is history, and yes, he wil become this year 4 time world champion. The gap is to big, and Mercedes, Mclaren ord closer, i think Mclaren is now the better car, But Max keeps sqeezing the Maximum out of the RB20 (Checo NOT). And Mclaren keep taking points from eachother when Max is not winning or second. Oyeah, racing is in his Boold, His Father Jos was a F1 driver (not very succesfull) and his Mother was racing in the highest levels of Karting. For example, she raced against Giancarlo Fisichella, who was a Formula 1 driver from 1996 to 2009. She has also met Jarno Trulli and the 2009 world champion Jenson Button several times during her career. What many people do not know is that the current team boss of Red Bull Racing Christian Horner also used to kart a lot, from 1989 he and Sophie Kumpen both drove in the world karting championship for juniors. Documentries you should watch is Max Verstappen - Anatomy of a Champion and whatever it takes. I think he will go 2026 to Mercedes, they will have better engine package like they did in 2014 when the engine rules changed. I don't have a good feeling that RBR powertrains will be a succes with Ford as partner. But we shall see. Cheers
