We Germans love our Dutch neighbors anyway, but since the European Championships they have had to share the place in our hearts with the great Scots. The fans of these two nations were and are fantastic guests. Thank you very much from Germany.🥰🥰🥰🥰

As a dutch person in Australia I got up for the 5am start. I thought Turkey played a good first half but I was confident in the second half if we got 1 goal, we could get another. And it happened. Will be interesting against the poms. Should be a great game. Hip Holland!!

What big party in Berlin. We met 2 Scottish guys and we kept in touch. We parties in the fanzone together. They even bought the Dutch footbalshirt. It was 3 am when we parted. Such a blast. Cheers to Scotland.

Hi. Marcel from the Netherlands. I was soo nervous when the first goal of Turkey came. Really upset to the point I had to switch channels cause I was ranting in front of the TV. About 20m later I heard someone having a go with trumpet in my flat. Than, I switched back, and it was 2-1 for us. But the game hadn’t finished. Had too much bear at to many snacks. But, what a game it was.

When they came back and made that second goal i was screeming and jumping and dancing haha 😅 So happy they won ❤🇳🇱

Dutch team at a psychological high at the very right moment! Last 15 minutes they took away victory at the gates of hell. That makes you strong. I think Koeman has done a fantastic job: technically, strategically and psychologically (van Gaal?). I think we are allowed to dream now.

I am dutch, my hands and feet were sweaty, i had shivers and sonetimes i forgot to breath but otherwise i was perfectly relaxed 😂

I'm always too nervous to watch the whole match. But when the Dutch score a goal I find out because someone in my neighbourhood lightens some fireworks and goes back inside to watch the rest of the match. Then I switch channels on my tv to see what happened. 🙄😁 Later on I watch the recap.

Not a football fan, but I love the. Dutch football fans. I could follow the game by the cheering outside, although my apartment is pretty soundproof. And the fireworks indicated that the Netherlands had won.

It's a shame that so few Dutch people were able to get a ticket for this match. Most of the people in the stadium were local German Turks. I don't care what system caused this. It's just not right. UEFA should do something about it. If it were a true home game for one of the teams, like in this case for Germany, I could somewhat understand it, but it was not.

Each tournament has it's own song. Incredible how "to the left, to the right" is caching on. It's mainly a party song by a true party band. But it has become like our second national anthem. Oh well, we love football, we love our national team but mainly we love any excuses to have a party and we sure know how to party.

We had a slow start , our passing to stationary players was gut renching in the first half. But in the second half we started to build up speed and fast passes and that opened up the Turkish defense. But also in the end we for some reason gave them free shots in front of our goal which could have ended horribly, i think that really must be focused on because you cannot do that against countries like Spain who in my humble opinion will be one of the countries in the finals. But a great win against a strong opponent, the turks are no joke and will always fight with passion. Shame for the riots in berlin and in Holland itself, but what does not reach the news was that there were turkish and Dutch fans that respectfully watched together and showed respect to each other , which is what football is all about.

Next match will be interesting

I was mostly mad. First how you can start a match like that and still loose control in the 1st half, and then loose control after the 2-1 again. Just finish it off, slow it down, break their rythm and fire, frustrate them, play like grown ups.

Not the best match played by the Netherlands, I must admit, but hey, a win is a win. Congratulations to Turkey for their passionate play. After such a mediocre game, the Netherlands will again show their best game against England. I'm convinced of that.

It was a really good comeback

This was a great game. I had given up hope after the first half, but they really went to work in the second half. Against England is going to be a slow match, Netherlands needs to be very careful in the mid-field. The English will be full-on defense waiting for a counter, as they usually do -- the cowards. Hopefully we will manage to puncture them and score a point, then the match will come alive.

Wow! I am amazed Fußball fans know where left and where right is! Yeah I know, not a popular opinion but I hate Fußball. I live next to a two soccer stadiums and the amount of trouble is not countable. Extreme dumbness, booze, noise sometimes from 6.30 to 11.30 in at night, the balls shot on our parked cars across the street, shooting mirrors off, disappointed drunk men ripping our windshield wipers off, throwing trash cans around ….. A ball turns these people into cavemen. And those guys make millions running after a ball like toddlers in a playground while real heroes save lives and work in nursing homes.
