About Smile Flower : Woozi wrote and composed it to express his feelings towards the members and how, despite (or maybe because of) how happy he was, he sometimes got scared that the happiness wouldn't last, that they would one day separate on bad terms etc... The lyrics are basically saying that no matter what happens in the future, he hopes thoughts of each other will still bring them happiness. When the other members first listened to the song, they all loved it, decided it should be on their album (Going Seventeen) and to extend the meaning of the song to include Carats as well. So now, it's like Seventeen telling us that, even if we distance ourselves from them or stop being their fans at some point, they hope the memories we made while stanning them will still make us smile 😭

The Holiday MV was an excuse for Wonwoo to get everyone else to do the dance but not having to do it fully himself lol It's one of my favourite songs of theirs by a long shot. Everything about it is just magical and perfect. And the way Wonwoo directed this MV and chose to highlight how close the members are just shows me how precious their bond is, and why they make me so happy.

Smile flower is such a precious song to Carats and Seventeen, i would also suggest listening to Carats sing this to Seventeen as a surprise during a concert.

I got emotional every time I watch Smile Flower ㅠㅠ It’s just a meaningful song for both Seventeen and Carat. I still remember how Woozi cried when they sang the song in Caratland

ODIHTD! Also known as the song of self plagarization! A lot of the choreography from ODIHTD is actually sampled / snips of different Seventeen choreographies throughout their career and it’s really cool when you see them side by side!

I did a very rough translation of what they said at the beginning of Smile Flower bc it really helps set up the vibe of the video (i am not fluent so pls let me know of any blatant inaccuracies) Hoshi: I really wanted to try doing a sad song Mingyu: Even tho I'm from the hip hop unit, every member is singing in this song. Instead of a boyish concept, we're going for more mature vibes. Vernon: even tho we fall, even tho we're sad, our smiles can bloom together Woozi: (cant translate the complexity of his thoughts properly so I apologize) We have really great relationships, you know. we're happy right now, it's good right now. But sometimes I think about what if we can't achieve some things. Thinking about that and sometimes failing, or even if we can't be together, let's be happy no matter what and let our smiles bloom still, that's the meaning of this song.

Smile Flower was written by Woozi as a way to express how he felt about the other members because he isn't one to show his feelings or emotions usually and he wanted to let the other members know his love for them. The song while originally meant for the members took on a new meaning as a connection to the Carats. The meaning in the song I'd that no matter where the road may lead in the future I hope we will forever be together as a family even if we are in different places.

We must admit, that we genuinely love these 13 boys. Without any expectation from them, but still they manage to give us happiness. We are a spoil fandom💖

For Smile Flower, I really recommend you find and react to the English subbed version of the video - there's a really good fansub somewhere on KZfaq and should come up as one of the first searches. You should try and rewatch the dance practice of ODHTD while reading the lyrics. Basically all the moves they use in that choreo are a visual representation of the lyrics, it's almost like sign language (which they do actually use at one point in this choreo btw)
