Okay, so “Wolf” is basically a nickname fans gave Siyeon for her intense gaze and beautiful voice.

If you want to get to know more of their personalities , I highly recommend insomnicsy's 'This Is..." series of videos! They have a 2020 and 2021 versions; for individual members, I recommend the "This Is..." 2021 version and 2020 version of the group as a whole! They're each about 7 minutes long.

The guide doesn't mention it but Jiu's songs all have very sweet and wholesome meanings behind them. Dear is a love letter to fans. The lyrics talk about meeting fans at fansigns and says "I used to wonder if it was okay to say I love you but now those words seem too small" Like that as rookies, she wondered if it was okay to already tell fans she loves them and it felt awkward but now her love is too big for those words to express everything. 4 memory came out right after their 4th anniversary and is about the memories she made with the members in the different seasons with them and saying how she'll always remember it all. Alldaylong was inspired by a hug she recieved from Yoohyeon. They were both having a tough day so one of them said "Let us that are having a hard time, hug each other" So it has lyrics that say "I think your hug could comfort my world" She really is so sweet 🥺

Insomnicsy's channel might be the best Dreamcatcher channel on youtube. The "This Is" series of videos are the most famous ones but there are plenty of other great videos on their channel to react to.

As a combination of their crackhead personalities and their music, I'd recommend their self-made MVs, especially Sahara, Break the Wall and Poison Love. You'll see what I mean!

Highly recommend the "this is..." series by Insomnicsy. It has, what i would call, a 2020 "first time introduction" version and a 2021 "this is also them" version. These help give a very good insight to the members individually off stage. In fact, I'd highly recommend alot of Insomnicsy's videos since they are a very dedicated dreamcatcher content channel. Alot of their videos consists of Vlive footage, music show greenrooms, vlogs and the like. Great content to watch to see the members individually and as a group. Im glad you're enjoying them so far.

i recommented "dreamcatcher mind" that is dreamcatcher first variety show, its on dreamcatcher official channel, also on it is "between dreamcatcher and I" for knowing better their feeling and most vulnerable selves or literally anything from insomniacsy !! especial their "always seven" video, that is an special for dreamcatcher 5th anniversary

Insomncsy is the best youtube channel with Dreamcatcher content. I recommend watching in addition to the series "This is...", watching Always Seven (5th Dreamcatcher Anniversary). And on the official Dreamcatcher channel, I recommend watching the 10 episodes of their reality show, Dreamcatcher Mind. I also really like Mera's video on the History of Dreamcatcher. It tells the problems they went through and that justifies the strength of their friendship.

I'm so happy you reacted to this guide! It's so well made and, as far as I've seen, it's the only one that talks about Handong's absence and shows what she was doing during that time. I highly recommend reacting to "BEcause" since it's their latest comeback and also some special clips from the Dystopia era like "Red Sun", "Black or White", "Sahara", "Break The Wall", "Wind Blows", and "Poison Love." ^_^

Ahh so glad you got to react to this!!! They really are one of the all-around most talented, friendly, and *chaotic* groups out there. They really do love each other like a family, and the group dynamic wouldn't work if just one of them was missing. Even when Handong was in China for Youth With You, they talked all the time about how much they missed her and wanted to send their support. Seeing their off-stage personalities after their badass stage presence definitely is surprising! Especially for Dami. She's so intimidating on stage but in reality she's just a tiny dork XD I love how distinct all their personalities are and how they shine equally on stage, because a lot of times in larger groups it's hard not to have members that stand out more and members that fade to the back. They really are a group of seven complete all-arounders. They can all rap, all sing, all dance, they're all *visuals* (like my god I swear they're the most gorgeous group I've ever seen), and several of them as you saw have gotten involved in the production, writing, composition, and choreography of their songs. And once they do a cover, it's *their* song lmao TRUE cover queens. A few notes on the individual members: - Handong's stage name is actually a combination of her last and first name, because Chinese first names are usually one syllable but Korean first names are usually two. That's how Han Dong became Handong! - Handong and Dami are definitely the introverts of the group, but part of the reason why Handong used to be so shy is because she struggled with Korean. When they debuted, she'd only been a Korean trainee for six months, so it was hard for her to keep up with and participate in conversations, on top of being one of the new members with not as much trainee experience. She's come a hugely long way; you'll definitely notice a difference in her performance power between Odd Eye-now and before she participated in Youth With You. She worked really hard that whole year to improve on her own, and it's part of the reason she wanted to participate in the show in the first place. - Dami has really taken off as a vocalist this past year and also recently got certified with Pro Tools, which is music production software - Siyeon is called a wolf in part due to her intimidating gaze, but also because she identifies strongly with them for how loyal they are. Each of the girls actually has an animal signifier: Jiu is a rabbit, Sua is a chick, Siyeon is a wolf, Handong is a cat, Yoohyeon is a dog, Dami is a panda, and Gahyeon is a fox. - Even though this guide lists Sua as a lead rapper, she really has only rapped in their song Good Night. She was the main rapper in Minx, but shortly after Dreamcatcher's debut decided to focus more on vocals, so she's not *really* part of the rap line. It's Gahyeon and Dami 99% of the time, though actually Handong has rapped on a few tracks in the past few years, and I've started to wonder if they will officially add her to the line up. - Dami actually gets compared a lot to Felix from Stray Kids! They've got very similar vocal tones and I would die for them to collab - You'll hear Gahyeon referred to as Sua and Siyeon's child a lot and her being very loud like them (mostly Sua) is part of the reason XD As for what you should check out next...for off-stage content, the reigning channel is insomnicsy! They put TONS of work into making compilations of the group's funny moments, and they also have a series called "This Is" that essentially gives each member their own 7-minute personality profile. The 2020 and 2021 version are both definitely worth checking out! Also, to help you understand some of the clips you saw in this guide, I'd recommend watching their reality show, Dreamcatcher Mind! There are 10 very hilarious (and sometimes emotional) episodes. For songs, there's their most recent release, BEcause and the Summer Holiday album. But the next *big* thing is their other MV storyline, the Nightmare series. But they also have a ton of amazing b-sides to delve into if you want to get a more comprehensive feel for their sound. All the title tracks are rock, but the b-sides cover *everything*. And a lot of them have special clips/performance videos. Just a few are Black or White, Wind Blows, Red Sun, Sahara (self-made MV), July 7th, Lullaby, and Mayday. You could also check out Minx! They have two popular songs, Why Did You Come To My Home and Love Shake. They're both a little cringy, but it's kind of a rite of passage to see where they started and appreciate how far they've come. Siyeon and Dami especially never liked the cute concept and I think you'll agree that Dreamcatcher suits them MUCH better. In addition to ALL THAT, they've also done TONS of solo/subunit covers that will give you a good idea of their true vocal power. These are some I'd recommend: For Sua: I Love You (w/ Jiu and Siyeon) and Copycat For Jiu: Honesty and her JYP cover with Sua ( I don't know the actual song name cuz it's in Korean) For Siyeon: Overdose and her original song Paradise For Handong: her original solo First Light of Dawn and Snapping from this year's Halloween concert For Yoohyeon: Secret Love Song and Touch For Dami: Palette (w/Yoohyeon), Havana (w/Sua), and her original song Butterfly For Gahyeon: Adult Ceremony (live performance) and Vanishing Paycheck SORRY THAT'S A LOT OF INFO, but they have been around for five years and they feed fans well with a LOT of content, so there really is a TON to explore from them! Yes, they have the largest or should I say the longest lightstick in all of Kpop, that lightstick has a detachable end which makes their lightstick look like a legit weapon or a witch's wand. To give context, take 3 ARMY Bomb lightsticks and stack them that is how long Dreamcatcher's lightstick is and it can even grow longer. 47:37 See that thing Jiu is holding in the middle? Yeah, that is the lightstick. And also at 48:48.

Dreamcatcher Mind is a very interesting 10 episode reality project. It shows many parts of them and it's highly entertaining, so I suggest it at the very least for personal viewing. Much of the guide material comes from that. It's all translated with captions, so it's easy to watch. Dreamcatcher Note, the official behind the scenes footage, is also very interesting, but because most of it isn't translated, I suggest the Insomnicsy videos. They give a good summary.

This is the guide that I suggest for all those that want to know Dreamcatcher’s along with the “This is” series; 2020 and 2021 versions. Anything from Imsomnicity is good since that channel has so many compilations for them. And Dodging Disbandment and other extreme sports: A History of Dreamcatcher is also a good thing to watch. Dreamcatcher Mind is their variety show esk 10 ep series that they did and it is a must watch for any Insomnia or future Insomnia; so entertaining. Despite their official positions, Dreamcatcher is 7 vocalist, 7 dancers, 7 rappers and 7 visuals. Chaotic, talented, beautiful, crackheads. There are technically 4 extroverts and 3 introverts. Extroverts- JiU, SuA, Siyeon and Yoohyeon. Introverts- Handong, Dami, Gahyeon. Mamamoo is the only other female group I listen to and they have 4 vocalists .. vocal queens (even the main rapper is a talented and under rated vocalist), they also choreographed their own stuff prior to HIP at least as they wanted to focus more on vocals and simpler choreography did that. But Solar, Wheein and Moonbyul have definitely choreographed their own solo stuff or in Solar’s case her dance covers on her KZfaq channel. Solar, Wheein, Siyeon, Yoohyeon and SuA are definitely some of the best vocalist in my opinion. Just like Solar and Siyeon are two of the best main vocalist in my opinion. Piri is still my fav title track while my fav b-side is And There Is No One Left (both tracks are from their 6th album). Dami our rapping panda and Siyeon our main vocalist wolf are my biases. My bias wreckers are our Queen crow tit SuA and pink princess bunny JiU. Yoohyeon and Handong love to fight JiU for a wrecker spot. Deja Vu is a masterpiece that should have gotten a Win. Any song from Dystopia trilogy and/or Wind Blows should have gotten a win. They would have a win if the KPop world was more open minded… Eclipse is there anime collab as it’s an opening theme for the Kings Raid anime. No More is a single that was then added to the Eclipse EP. My fav original Japanese b-sides are My way and Don’t Light My Fire. They have Japanese versions of most of their Nightmare series title tracks and 2 Nightmare b-sides. Their covers as group, individual or subunit are of various genres. “I love you” with Siyeon, SuA and JiU is one of my fav trio sub unit covers. Siyeon has killed whatever she decides to cover- Overdose, Speechless, Faded, We All Lie… Paradise is an important song her her in terms of the lyrics and the inspiration behind it.There are 4 MVs for Paradise; 3 that use the album track - rock/EDM, white ver, black ver. And a Piano version that I just her and a guy playing piano that show off her beautiful vocals even more. Fav nightmare series title- Piri (from End of Nightmare) Fav nightmare series b-side- And There Was No One Left (From End of Nightmare) Their Nightmare ep just has Chase me and a ballad Emotion. Fall Asleep in the Mirrior has Good Night and the ballad Lullaby . Fav tree of language b-side- In the Frozen, Sahara or Red Sun Loose myself has 3 tracks that I all love- Boca and the two b-sides- Can’t get you out of my mind and Dear Fav Road to Utopia b-side- Poison Love Fav Summer Holiday b- side- Whistle Jiu has wrote/composed or helped with - Dear, 4 memory (I swear I read something or saw an interview where they said JiU helped with this song), AllDayLong, Black Or White. Dami- You and I, Scar, What, New Days, Once Upon A Time, Butterfly, Black or White, Break the Wall. Siyeon helped with BEcause, Airplane and A Heart of Sunflower, Paradise, Black or White Yoohyeon helped with Whistle and Alldaylong. Some of their help with writing is with the chorus so they don’t get full official writhing credits on Wikipedia and such. But I have a screenshot that shows these credits for chorus for at least Summer Holiday. Handong wrote her solo “Dawn”/“First Light of Dawn”

They forgot to list JiU's most important role: Goofiest Goofball. Dreamcatcher's members are all exceptionally talented, but it's difficult to sufficiently emphasize just how good at dancing SuA is. Being good at dancing is a professional requirement for K-pop Idols, so to some extent all of them are... but among idols, SuA is top tier (in close competition for title of the very best). Dreamcatcher's members are all adorably silly. Gahyeon is the Maknae (youngest) so she's supposed to be cute and silly. But each one of the other members is so cute and silly that you'd think they're the Maknae: the fake Maknae line is basically the whole group. It's fairly common for a group's main rapper to write their own rap verses, so I assume that's why Dami gets so many writing credits. She might be involved in other parts of the song-writing, but it's hard to say from an outside perspective.

Thanks for the reaction and the final thoughts as well! :) As an InSomnia AND an ARMY (it was thanks to BTS that I became a huge InSomnia during "Fake Love" comeback promo), I'm so happy you are also drawn to Dreamcatcher. I just have to remind you that in BTS we also have one of the greatest choreographer: Kim Seokjin!!! With his legendary "Spinebreaker" and "Super Tuna" choreos! xD Just in case, Hobi, Jimin and JK also participate a lot in their choreos. My bias in BTS is also SUGA, it was almost instantly with his rap lines (started as a fan during "Dope" and his flow killed it) but in DC, I struggled for quite some time before having a bias as they almost all fascinated me. After two comebacks, Siyeon became my bias with her blond hair and her bridge in "Piri". Looking forward to more reactions.

6:13 Minho from skz is a choreographer (Hyunjin has done some choreographing too but he isn't necessarily a choreographer). Hellevator was choregraphed by him. I think that is one of the benefits Dreamcatcher has as being a part of a small company (which is something that is always talked about as a negative) because they seem to get a lot more freedom over certain things.

Dami is a type of dancer that do her own thing in dancing, everything she does is so different from others like she dances her own dance but it magically fits in even though it's technically wrong

DC are really awesome. Their music is really amazing and their personalities are just as amazing. First I loved their chaotic personalities but what I love even more is how genuinely kind they are. From spending 30 mins helping a backup dancer find a ring they lost to giving a fan advice on how to deal with bullying they’re just really good people. They deserve all the love and support🥺 Their fandom is like a safe space. If you’d like to get to know the members personalities more insomniscy has a 7 min video on each member. You can’t find them by searching Insomniscy this is series. Insomniscy also have videos of DC as a whole just being chaotic Also they have arguably the most difficult girl group choreographies in K-Pop. Their choreo’s are really fast and powerful like their songs. They also have really beautiful ballad b-sides. You get literary everything with DC! They also do special clips where they cover songs so if you’re interested in seeing the members take on totally different styles of music I recommend them. Yoohyeon covered Ed Sheeran- Perfect for example. There isn’t a genre they can’t do

The former leader of 9Muses Ryu Sera has a channel, she has an exclusive interview with Dreamcatcher a few years ago, she reacted to one of their videos, then basically became the Insomnia president. Dami is her bias, it's so interesting to watch her reactions to DC videos. Pixy is a rookie group that debuted last year, pretty much everyone who loves DC, loves Pixy. They also have a dark concept, and some incredibly talented girls (one who is also named Sua). I would recommend you check out the Bewitched MV, I'm pretty sure you will be obsessed with it, like everyone else was. Everyone else already recommended the "This is..." series, but basically anything on Insomniscy channel. Nice to see others recommended Mera's video (Dodging disbandment), it really has detailed info, and different perspective, and controversies listed.

I mean this is not any shade to other groups, but yes in my opinion all Dreamcatcher members (yes including Dami) could be lead or main vocalists if they were in any other group. All those "brain" clips of Dami (as well as a few other clips) were from different episodes of their reality show "Dreamcatcher Mind" btw, which is on their official channel, it's really fun. I've known Dreamcatcher for a while and I've never really watched guides for myself but I watch a lot of reactions, and this was my first time seeing this particular guide, and I do think it's a really good one! I made sure to watch the rest of that guide after your footage cut out because I was interested what else it had to say. I especially love that they included the part about LGBTQ+ support, which I really love about DC. As far as funny videos/compilations anything by insomnicsy is a good choice! Also if you're interested in seeing more dynamics between the members insomnicsy has a "chemistry series" as well :D hmm other than that you could watch "Dreamcatcher once said" or "Dreamcatcher being iconic" Oh I also like the users "Deuxae" and "minjiphinx" and there are other funny compilations out there but yeah most somnies reccomended kit aka insomnicsy bc their vids are always so good, and they update regularly, they really carry the international fandom haha As far as music it would be cool to see you go through the rest of their title tracks, or even do an album listen, I recommend listening to one of their albums in full (maybe their first, and currently only, full album "The Tree of Language") so you can see how even though they are the queens of rock they also have other genres and styles up their sleeves 😀

A lot of people have some great suggestions like the "This is..." series (all of them of course) and Dreamcatcher Mind. I'd also like to recommend the "Dodging disbandment and other extreme sports a history of dreamcatcher" by mera. It's more like a chronology of the band and more of a view of them from an industry point of view but mera is a great narrator and really lays out just how lucky we are to have Dreamcatcher still around and goes over a lot of trials they faced as a group.

Many mentioned insomnicsy's videos and I can only agree with it. She has all types of content (funny compilations, introductions, chemistry between the girls, some vlive translations etc). I would say you can choose any of her videos and have a fun time.

I love Dreamcatcher because they remind me of Mamamoo. Both groups have overflowing natural talent and are the most beagle/crackhead idols.

It’s not entirely common, but there are a few girl groups out there with strong vocalists all throughout the group, a few would be; - Mamamoo - Red Velvet - Purple Kiss - JYPn (not their official name, they haven’t debuted yet but all the members were revealed through performance videos and they’re all great vocalists)

their choreos, keep in mind that no one (even bgs) have covered their dances yet they covered ate, not, bts and more even if bg songs are "harder". their energy is insane!

I would highly recomend watching Insomnicsy's 'This is...' series. It lets you get to know their personalities way better 🥰 It has Two Seasons 'This is *insert members name* 2020' and '2021'. I would suggest watching both per member, they are short but you will not regret it 🥰🥰🥰

As far as overall group vocals go, I'd say (and this is kinda widely accepted across most fandoms) Mamamoo and DC are the vocal powerhouses of kpop GG (def top tier in kpop and just music as general), however despite Mamamoo's insane vocal abilities, I'd still have to give DC the best allrounder card with 7 amazing vocalists, 7 rappers, 7 dancers, 7 great and unarguably lovable personalities (idc bout visuals when it comes to credibility so I'm not counting it, however that's an obvious one), you can really just take any one member throw them into any role and they'd do amazing (except for maybe.. leader, god bless jiu we've seen what it can be like without her.. but alas they can not be tamed, for we've also seen the chaos ensued with her there as well xD) That being said of course other groups have great vocalists too, but it's rare for an entire group of powerhouses like MMM and DC (special shoutout to (g)-idle (ot6) and Redvelvet, i may not have seen too many other groups, but from what I've seen here and there those 4 groups are, skill-wise, top of the line) (obviously personal opinions so please keep it calm if y'all bouta reply)

It seems like hard work to get so many clips of (mostly) live singing for the video, it's uncommon. Dreamcatcher is an exception to the rule where they can ALL sing. I'm so glad they went away from the "standard" cute concepts because tbh, I can't stomach it very well. I've never really been the super "girly" type, so that's why I often have a hard time getting into girl groups. The only girl groups I have ever stanned are Mamamoo and Purple Kiss (and Dreamcatcher eventually).
