It's not mentioned in this guide, but SEVENTEEN are actually BEST BOYS. They are very respectful ang thoughtful. They are mindful of their own words and actions, especially when it comes to sensitive topics like gender equality, LGBTQ+, body positivity, colorism, and xenophobia. They learn from one another and help one another grow all the time, which is what i love the most about them. I still remember when Mingyu made a doll called Bongbong based on their officially lightstick, and was asked if Bongbong is a boy or a girl. Dino said that they must be a girl bc of their big eyes, and Hoshi immediately corrected him that having big eyes doesn't mean they have to be a girl. I feel one thing that gets underrepresented often is that 'Hoshi' is not from the word 'star' in Japanese. It was originally chosen as a portmanteau of 'Horangi shiseon', which is tiger's gaze in Korean. That it means something in Japanese is merely a side benefit.

Jeonghan is my bias. Not only that he's a beautiful & handsome man, but his personality is just so fun. He's really such a prankster though. Members complained about it very much at one time and he toned down a bit. But still very cheeky. Especially when Jeonghan and Joshua are together, they're unstoppable. 😂😂😂 S. Coups fear these two cuz he'll be the one whom the two tease so much. 🤣🤣🤣 Jeonghan is super smart as well. This smartness of him is especially noticeable when playing games. My ultimate bias is Jun, he is one of the chinese members in the performance unit and I just adore his personality and his talent. Him and Minghao (The8) participated in a Chinese competition show called CYZJ that allowed them to collaborate with different artists, it is very enjoyable and if you are interested to watch in your own time episodes are available on youtube. He is not only talented but he is also very caring and has his own solo ballad which he wrote the lyrics for, thanking his fans and expressing his appreciation for them since many traveled back and forth between Korea and China to support him and Minghao I apologize for the long comment, and I wish you luck in either choosing a bias or just biasing all of them since it can be hard to choose

I am not here for this Tiger erasure!! Hoshi's name means Tiger's Gaze in Korean, it's a portmanteau of Horangi (tiger) and Shiseon (gaze/sight) because he has an intense gaze when he's performing. It just happens to mean star in Japanese. oh, i think it would be really helpful for you to watch "hit the road", which it's kinda a documentary from them with 13 episodes (eventually cuz not all the eps are out yet) from each member, with english subtitles also! as a carat it really made me very emotional but since is them talking and telling about their day, struggles and etc., i think maybe will somehow be helpful for to know them better ^^ the episodes are released in their channel if you're interested! and also, thank you for taking your time to know them, it makes me so happy that more people are starting to like their stuff, so again, thank you!

I will add a few points about some of the members: 4. Vernon: he writes mainly rap lyrics for them, but the other rappers write their own lyrics too sometimes. I wouldn't say he's a producer though, at least not main or even one of the main. He does have copyrights for lyrics to most of SVT's songs and i think i've seen 1 or 2 songs that he has taken part in composing too. But in terms of producing, like editing the final sounds, coaching/monitoring recording sessions, it's mainly Woozi. Vernon is a recognised rapper amongst idols though, which is rare cuz rappers tend to look down on idol rappers. 5. Jeonghan: he is the guy who smudged the lipstick in Fear. 7. Woozi: the instruments he plays includes the guitar, piano, drums and clarinet. Main producer, composer and writer. The other producer that helps them a lot is Bumzu. They are under the same company, he is a singer-songwriter and was their vocal trainer during predebut. Woozi has written a song for him before though. 11. Hoshi: he got into dancing through Taekwondo. Cuz for performances or demonstrations, they often have a part where they would play a song and demonstrate the moves to it. He actually choreographed the dance routine to one of NU'EST's song, i think it's called "Bad" or something. But cuz it was before SVT debuted, so he submitted the choreography under another name but he didn't expect it to get chosen. 13. Dino: he is also one of the choreographers in SVT. Not as known and not as much as Hoshi, but he has choreographed unit dances on his own or with Hoshi before.
