I’m seconding the suggestions for their newest “Ain’t Goin’ Down ‘til the Sun Comes Up”. It’s a mind blower. Again, it’s on their Facebook page. As for this song, it’s a beautiful rendition. HF will strike chords that give you goosebumps.

There is a separate KZfaq vid of each of their Sing Off performances. Please watch them in order. It’s a great way of understanding their evolution from relative unknowns into nationwide fame, and how they grew beyond their previous limited repertoire.

Love Home Free and their diverse musical content. They pay homage to the country artists they came before them (Dreamer) and with collaborations that they have done with Kenny Rogers, Lee Greenwood, The Oak Ridge Boys and Alabama. They also have helped their last two opening acts on their tour Jeffrey East and Texas Hill and have done videos with them. Don McLean requested Home Free when he decided to re-record his classic American Pie for the 50th anniversary. He even invited them to be guests when he got his star ⭐ on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

They were on the Sing Off season 4 I think it was in 2013? They did this on The Sing Off and there are videos of all of their performances with judges comments. This was the only performance that they got some bad comments. You should, at least, listen to them to see how far they have grown since then. Chance wasn't in it with them Chris Rupp was in the group at that time

Yes, the Sing Off was an a capella competition show. There are videos posted on KZfaq. Other Home Fries will know the screen name of the best ones. But you want the ones that show their preparation before and the judges comments after the performances. Those are the ones you want. They show more information.

Dave you jumped on one of their best...and get this it was originally chosen for them by the judges on the Sing-Off. They filmed & won the 4th season of the Sing-Off in December 2014 out in California at the NBC Studios in Burbank and Chris was still with them. This was the next to last song they sang on the show & the only time they actually had a little criticism from the judges...they said the live performance that Rob was slightly nervous at the start...I personally have listened to it a couple of dozen times & I don't hear it...but whatever. Forward 3+ years and Chance has joined them, asd they decided to do a real music video for this song (can you blame them ? it's gorgeous) and this is what they did....it's stunningly & hauntingly beautiful....kudos to Home Free & to Chance coming through with the awesome solo !!

Home Free has been a roll again with their new videos. Ain't Goin' Down is only on their Facebook page and they have another one coming out in a few days on KZfaq , Between a Rock and a Heartache. Have you ever reacted to The Hound and The Fox? Chance just filmed a video with them last week which will be out soon; Chance has done 5 or 6 videos with them so far. Tim and Rob have been on their channel too. The Hound and The Fox live in Oregon near Peter Hollens and have done several collaborations with him.

Pentatonix won the third season of The Singoff. Home Free won the fourth season, in which Voice Play and Filharmonic also competed. The full shows are on KZfaq as well as snippets of each band. You might enjoy seeing the differences in styles and skills.

This couldn't have been a Sing Off recording, since Adam Chance is in it. He joined in 2016, three years or so after HF won the Sing Off. As previous posters have noted, there are separate videos for each stage of the competition. They did sing this one as part of the show, with Austin taking the central section as well as the last, but this is the version they have been using since then.

As a side note, the show didn't want Rob for a lead part in this song, but the guys stuck to their guns and insisted and of course, their musical intuitions were right all along. I love your reactions cause we can see by them what we are all feeling. This song is absolutely gorgeous and they deliver a song with so much genuine emotion, you can't help but love it.

I would love to see you react to the videos of Home Free's performances on The Sing-Off. A lot of us first saw them there. Having heard a lot of their more recent music, you will be able to appreciate how good they were then and how much they have still improved over the last 9 years. I would suggest doing the videos that include the judges' comments. And don't forget to include their Ultimate Sing-Off with the group Filharmonic. It's really fun.

I know this is from 7 months ago, haha! But if you like the writing on this song - you should really give some more country music a chance. 100% serious. Newer country gets a bad reputation for being all about trucks and girls and whatever - but the soul of country is the writing and the stories that it tells, and most great country has writing on par with this. It's one of the reasons the genre is my favorite. There's a huge lyrical focus that a lot of other music doesn't hone in on. A few that I think you would enjoy - The Band Perry, Maren Morris, Ingrid Andress, Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley, Sara Evans, Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini There's a ton more, but those stand out to me because they have a lot of seriously well-written songs that go deeper than what you'd expect out of stereotypical country. Yes,its a tv show but there are videos of the show on KZfaq. PTX won the first season,Home Free won a season and Voiceplay came in a close runner up position same season...4?? If I remember the seasons correctly.Voiceplay was either 2nd or 3rd place. For other groups along the acapella line,try the Bass Gang or Peter Hollins...the Bass Gang is a vocal group of ALL basses,and Peter is only one person but he collabs with Home Free,and other great singers.also I recommend a husband & wife team that sing a lot of acapella,but also incorporate instruments sometimes called the Hound + the Fox.happy listening!!✌out🙂

Once again so beautifully sung. It not only reaches your ears but also your heart and soul. Rob has a voice like velvet with so much soul in it. But I also think Chance's voice sounds really great in this song. So smooth. But the whole with the other voices, the harmonies and the inhuman mouth artist Adam makes it so incredibly good and perfect! Such different voices but still one.

Try the AcaPop Kids! They were put together by Scott & Ben of Pentatonix and those kids are AMAZING! As young as 6 years to 15. None better. 🤗

This song was my very first favorite done by Home Free when they sang it one the show The Sing Off. I was really excited when they did this video later on after Chance had joined the group. I still consider it probably within my top ten HF favorites.

I have just subscribed because your reaction has depth; you aren't just watching, you are LISTENING. Home Free is, in my opinion, the best out there. Their harmonies are so tight, each member of the group could make it as a solo, and they are nice people. They aren't doing "theater" like VoicePlay, nor are they doing whatever it is that I find so annoying in Pentatonix. They are singing. The video is less important than the music, although the videos are always right for the music. Thanks for reacting to this. Please do a lot more Home Free. Heck, you could review any of their videos for a second (even third) time and I would be back to see it.

Yes, as many have said, watch each Sing Off performance in order, with the judges’ comments. You would appreciate them. The exception would be their Christmas song with Jewel. It features Jewel, not Home Free and is not a good representation of them, IMO.

Hmmm, other Acapella groups. My first choice of current groups would be "Face Vocal Band". Their strong suit is super creative arrangements. Check out Sound of Silence and House of the Rising Sun. If you're OK with older stuff, check out the Nylons version of "Up on the Roof". This is the stuff that first got me into acapella. Late 1970s fashion choices, before there were beatboxers, just simple godlike harmony.
