I think Ms. India strategized. The question is definitely difficult. Answering the question may not put her in Top 3 because her answer may not be accepted by most of the people. So what she did is to come up with answer that everyone can relate to.

Ms.India sounded right , with strong point of view and highly confident.... to convince the judges that she is right . that makes her win the pageant...I think

This is such a great opportunity to have a strategic and well established answers when delivering a speech. As an aspiring communicative speaker I learned a lot of things about public speaking and how to handle such difficult questions with substance and knowledge. I believe our own Beatrice Luigi Gomez did a very good job in every aspect of the competition periodt.

That’s the thing. It’s like having a Job interview for a management position. They won’t base on your answers itself. They base on how you deliver it with confidence and how you will face people and be convincing. It’s an effortless leadership style yet it’s very effective. You’re living in a world where being convincing is more important than being right.

I am sad too.. but in the hearts of many.. Bea deserves to be in the 3 spots.. anyway..to be in top 5 was not bad at all....still Philippines.consistently included in the semi since Ms Venus Raj.. and i am proud of her.. 👏👏👏👍👍👍🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭❤❤❤.

l was watching Bea's reaction while 4 earlier candidates were answering their questions. It was obvious, she was absorbed & lost in their answers which somehow preconditioned her mind on the possible question she may be asked. But she must have been surprised when it was her turn that she took some seconds to put her thoughts together and in the process, she buckled. She may have answered the question right, but judges were looking for minus points to debit finalists to come up with the winner. And remember, not all judges are in the same frames of mind.

Finally, someone vouch in, verify, strongly support the answer of Bea in the top 5 question. The moment she delivers her answer, I knew she can place in the top 3 but sadly not. But yah moving forward, happy for the result and the overall outcome of Bea's performance. Love you Tito Boy, Sky, and Ms Kylie.

Finally! I got someone whose at my side fighting for this matter that Bea is the only one who gave the best real answer! Making me even prouder of Bea. Kaya takang-taka po talaga ako during the competition that Bea didn't made it to Top 3 which in fact, she is very deserving. Super naguluhan po ako before kung bakit si Paraguay po ang nakapasok that time samantalang noong commercial break is super tuwa na namin ng friend ko kasi panatag ma po kaming makakapasok si Bea sa Top 3 pero nakakagulat talaga haha. Salamuch po ng marami Tito Boy for clarifying the things even more and na-justify na tama ako/kami/tayo that she could have make it if and only if the judges were very precise at critical towards judging. But yeah, nangyari na at hindi na mababago but at least, she had have proven everyone that she is indeed BEA-uty with wit and class.

I still strongly prefer the format where there is only the top 5, and they each get asked the same question. This would leave no room for doubt as to who answered the question (substance) and who delivered it best (form).

if Bea was the one to answer miss India's question, she coyld have aced this way "coming from a country visited by more or less 20 typhoons each year, I could easily convince them that climate change is real. Due to climate change, these much of typhoons does not only increases in number but increases in intensity as well. If they could just see how it left us helpless during these calamities, I hope that they will certainly believe that this is real. I hope, they did not need to experience it firsthand before they believe that it is real."

when the question was asked for Bea, i answered the question in my mind then i wrote it down. This is my answer for that question haha "In order for us to prevent the spread of covid-19, it must be a mandatory for having a vaccination passport whether you're travelling locally or internationally. I believe that it's the best thing to do, to mandate vaccination passport because i know with this we can have a safe place, safe environment,safe people and safe travellers as well. It's been almost 3 years since the pandemic started so by mandating passport, we can claim and achieve our freedom from this crisis. Thank you! "

I did not realize at first that India did not answer that Climate Change question. Oo nga no di nasagot, pero iba kasi pag powerful ang speech and tone pati delivery, nakakabudol lalo na pag mabilisang deliberation lang.

I agree with Boy's recommendation that after all the answers of the 5 finalists have been heard and scored by each judge initially, they should all go to some kind of a small conference room (which should be just steps away from the stage) where each judge will show the score that he/she gave to a candidate and briefly discuss the rationale behind the score he/she gave. In that way, each judge has the option to rethink and change his/her score based on something that was said by another judge that he missed or didn't realize right away for some reason. So they do that for each candidate and then the new totals will be generated to determine the final three finalists. In the business world, this is how decision-making is done. It is called Agile methodology. This should be done even in the local pageants.

Excuse me po, Miss India actually did answer the question. From her very first statement, it already tells that climate change is not a hoax. (As reactors, you were expecting a direct answer telling “Climate change is not a hoax.” Do not expect others to answer questions the way you do.) Again, she answered the question (indirectly). And this is being followed by statements which talk about how she is going to convince them otherwise. (Particularly, nung binanggit nya na each action could either kill or save nature.) Kuya Boy, hindi “PARANG” tama ang sagot nya. Kundi, “TAMA” talaga ang sagot nya. At “SINAGOT” nya ung tanong… hahay! Hi Kylie, I hope you still remember me when you were in high school (as one of your mentors in Maths and Sciences after school). hehehe…

- Only Bea answered the question but she stuttered w/c made her not confident enough among the 5. - Colombia didn’t answered the question, She sounded right and gave woman empowering answer which is somehow related to the question. -South Afrca is the best speaker in this batch. She didn’t answer the Q but gave powerful words to relate it in her question. - Paraguay, She sounded convincing and true, she pauses to think and also emphasize every phrase she speak. -India great answer, her answer technique is the mixture of them all. Miss Universe is looking for a girl who is spontaneous, strong, confident and capable to prove you can influence others. Judges are not only listening, interpreting and inculcating what he/she witnessed during the pageant. Perhaps they are looking someone who possesses gratified beauty, authentic and passionate ,whom wisdom could really captivate everyone's perception. Moreover It is the combinations of beauty, integrity and intelligence. That's why Miss Universe is really phenomenonal pageant.

In my opinion, It’s just a matter of how impactful the answer of the contestants are. The judges don’t read their answers, they just listen to it. If it sounds right, then it will probably have a high score. Delivery has really a big impact.

Bea did answer the question although it's a fictional inquiry. She made it realistic with her answer however she somehow buckled which somehow signified nervousness to the judges. Overall Bea was straightforward and had given her point and she's beautiful and full of elegance 😍💙💛❤️

This episode made me realized a lot of things about answering certain question. Each and everyone of us has its own opinion and own way to approach and answer questions. Let's just be open minded and be understandable cause in that way we will realized that people have different perspective.☺️♥️

It's easy to analyse things deeper taking the adequate amount to time however it's not easy to answer the question in 30 secs infront of the billions of people watching them online and offline. Kudos to all the ladies...

Yes, Bea answered the question. It is a difficult question. There is a big issue about "mandating" with regards to legality of mandating related to personal health management and or freedom.

We are nearly 2 yrs now in the pandemic and what we need more than ever is confidence in humanity. I believe in our scientist and I am confident with our vaccine makers. Vaccination has brought us better days and if this universal vaccination passport would help mitigate the effects of Covid and would help us recover faster, then I dont have any problem mandating one. Thank you I am so proud of Bea but stil given the Top 5 qna she at least deserves to be in the Top 3

If I have given a chance I would answer Miss Philippines question Covid-19 is very harsh to our society. Many people died, our agony and suffering are still ongoing. If a vaccination passport is mandated across the world or the universe rather then, I would agree to it, for the betterment of our loved ones, our family, and society even to the next generation and I think there is no problem at all as long as healthcare protocol and guidelines are determined then everything would be fine. And I, thank you!

When I first heard the question, I immediately thought of the inequality in accessing the vaccines. Vaccine passports create a safer environment by urging people to get protected from covid. The vaccines are safe and will allow people to go back to their previous way of life. However, for vaccine passports to work, people will need to get vaccinated first and not all countries have the supply and convenience to inoculate their citizens. I urge the UN and world governments to make vaccines accessible to everyone before mandating an international vaccine passport. Only then can we make the world safer. And I...thank you! In history, the delivery matters way more than the substance. It's really in the non-verbals. Although it's a contest with Q & A, I think the judges were still looking for poise and grace under pressure, not so much with the words. It's not a debate of the who's the smartest but it's still more of a beauty contest...

Dissecting TOP 5's Q&A is a really a good training whether you are joining a pageant or for public speaking...We better LISTEN :) I realized after reading Bea's answer...SHE ANSWERED THE QUESTION RIGHT. not being bias here but Oo nga! So tama nga!

USA, Philippines, South Africa and India are best in Communication skills. if only the Miss USA dead not show tiredness or sadness of her Passarella she could have been at the top 5 and the bottle will be different only her aura did not glow at the top 10. but bea aura is glowing BRIGHT until the very end. 4 country always a best threat in the whole universe in the speaking ability. but Latinas Speak always with a smile on there faces and always sound confident that's why they always been a favorites every year.

We could make it to Top 3 but I think it's India's destiny to win this year. She's 21 years old when she won it was 21 years since India won Miss Universe. And her mother told she was 70 weeks or days old then and she won on the 70th edition of Miss Universe. It was written in the stars.

Btw if last year Rabiya was lacking in smiles during ss segment, this year, Bea did a lot of smiles but what was lacking was conviction in her delivery nman. For the next Ms. Philippines, always use English words that are common for everyone's understanding. Speak with conviction, answer with intonation, and sound right, end with a famous saying(if one goes along with the question) say the ending word THANK YOU with emphasis and confidence.

I think Miss India's answer to the Climate Change question addressed it completely and even went beyond what was required through a call to action. You have to understand that Miss Universe questions often have an agenda behind them and that MUO is an American organization. Miss India obviously understood these things and gave the organization exactly what it wanted; A clear voice to push for that specific agenda. This is something that many pageant enthusiasts have to accept about these competitions. They are not what they seem on the surface. I think that the girls who have won are those who have completely accepted this reality.

Miss Philippines answered the question but I think some of the judges were looking for conviction. As a Pilipino, I live in Canada. I am proud. Miss Philippines got a top 5 because there are many Piipinos beauty pagent expert said Philippines will never get into top 16.

I really admire Sky how he speak, but sometimes he's annoying, maybe he should practice where to insert his thoughts. I believe in him, he's brilliant.

I agree with your talk on Ms. Bea’s Q n A performance Tito Boy. Upon observation, It is apparently evident that conviction and confidence in the delivery of answer was a significant impact which determined the candidate’s spot in top 3. Our very own Bea did deliver a simple yet good and concrete answer, but, as it appears on screen, she looks uncertain as she delivers her words and there were noticiable moments of stutter, which I suppose, was the reason why she did not make it to the top 3. Nonetheless, galing parin nya, sobrang nakakaproud prin🙌

Q&A is always nerve-racking. The way you handle pressure is very important. Confidence and composure (aside from conviction) are the also the important keys in winning this round. I hope Boy Abunda will help train our next Miss Universe representatives to master this potential.

It was so frustrating listening to these four contestants wiggle out of a direct question with charm coated, b.s. answers. They were simple questions, they weren’t even layered! And Miss So. Africa is supposed to be a pre-law student, right? Sorry to be so blunt. Our Bea was the only one who gave a real answer! I am so proud of our Bea! We here in Maine USA love Bea! She should have been crowned! I also lament the lack of gender diversity amongst the judges. And they should vet pageant judges like they pick jurors. This batch of judges picked form over substance in the final round. What can you do! Again, thanks for bringing this up. Love love love how your mind works.

Tito boy if Bea got this question she would have won simply because you guys went through the question and she would be able confidenly answer it. But that's where the destiny thing comes in. It was simply India's destiny to win this time around. Happy for our Top 5 placement nonetheless :)

See it's only Beatrice who really answered the question and she was on point again. She may not sound right to others but she was the only one who really answered it. Minus rhe embellishments of sounding good but she answered it right.

1:18 - for me India’s answer were superb in the top 5. That’s an advantage to her because she was asked the same topic during her National competition w/c made her Miss India. It is right that we are irresponsible consumers, but why didn’t she also address that consumers don’t have a choice. Multimillionaire manufacturers use GREEN WASHING to deceive consumers. Using psychological ways to market their brands. Her answer was a cliché but is one of the best answers in top 5.

Whatever yr points are, INDIA is already MU 2021. Each top 5 has their own strengths & weaknesses for delivering their answers in 30 sec only. What differ is who showed the highest amount of strengths & the minimum weaknesses in order to win the judges. It was so true that India, Paraguay & South Africa shone among them all. 7 judges from all around the globe already decided the winner, 1st & 2nd runner up. The following aspects are very important for Q&A evaluation: 1. Volume, clarity & expression 2. Confidence 3. Audience engagement 4. Eye contact 5. Body language From Australia

I also believe that Bea should be part of the top 3. After hearing all the answers of the top five, I didn't hesitate to assume that Bea would be part of the top 3 together with Ms. South Africa and India. But I totally respect the decision of the judges. I'm no disappointed by Bea's performance in Q and A at all ❤️
