Dimash didn’t decide to sing opera that day. It was Plácido Domingo who asked him to sing a duet two days before the program. Maestro Plácido Domingo told Dimash that because of his age he will not use his tenor voice. This was one of Dimash dreams since he was 5 years old and saw a video with Pavarotti, Plácido Domingo and Jose Carreras (The Three Tenors). Virtuosos is a classical competition for young musicians celebrated in Budapest. This was the finals for 2023 and Dimash and Plácido Domingo Sr. &Jr. we’re part of the judges. Thank you for your reaction. ❤️🎶☮️

I traveled to NY to his concert in December 2019. The "Dimash vibe" extended well beyond the concert. Even before the concert, as Dears were arriving from all over the world, as we met each other it was as though we had known each other for years. Of course there were language barriers at times, but it didn't matter, we still understood each other. It also didn't matter the ethnicity, religion, politics, color of skin, dress, education, etc., we were one, united in Kindness, Compassion, Peace, and Love. A week after the concert I still wondered what just happened. For me, experiencing his aura was ethereal. An incredible experience!

Hi from Germany! This isn't a negative comment but I believe that Dimash would never try to outshine any partner, especially such a legend, it's against his culture and the young man that he is. I believe you two were interested in listening to Dimash sing in a smaller range, so here you go! They sing beautifully and I enjoy listening to the two of them singing together. In a performance with other singers, I've noticed he always sings to highlight his partner(s), a true gentleman demonstrating nothing but respect for the people he sings with and the audiences, it's never a competition - I'm thinking especially of Dimash's performance singing "Ti amo cosi" with Aida Garafullina (famous opera soprano) and Lara Fabian; with Igor accompanying them on the piano - what perfection! I do believe that the last chord they sing, Dimash takes the highest note, not Aida. :)

Dimash was born to a mother soprano singer and had been trained in classical music, both piano and vocals, since he was five till nineteen, when he graduated with a Major in bel canto. He got two offers - a place in Astana opera, or to be sent to Italy to hone his singing in opera. He refused both and instead graduated from university with a Major in contemporary music, and a Master in composition in postgraduate. Dimash is belangual, his Kazakh and Russian placed equally enough. His Japanese in Ikanaide is so good and his understanding of the lyrics so profound, that the lyricist said he would very much like to hear Dimash in some of his other songs. His Mandarin is also very much appreciated in China. The Chinese invite him to sing songs of their classical legacy again and again on their special events, and they are very particular about their cultural treasures, rarely allowing foreigners to perform them. Why he doesn't master the European languages is something he may have an answer to, we don't know why, some Europeans are very touchy about it, almost snobbish, but his real fans not so much. They even started missing his Dinglish, when he tried to polish his English. This is about some of the comments below. About you boys, you're great, informative and funny as always, my best spent time today, an enjoyable stream, thank you, although I caught up with you postfactum❤❤❤

When you watch other performances with Dimash in a duet or trio you will find that he has an amazing ability to match the other person's vibrato. You hear it very well at the end of this song and when he sings Ti Amo Cosi (which I highly recommend you react to) with a Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina he is able to match each of the other's vibrato when he's singing with one or the other.

I caught you live. Watching you from Vietnam (normally from Australia). In Sinful Passion I think is the first time Igor Krutoy heard Dimash live! Apparently at end of show he went behind the scenes to chat to Dimash. They agreed to meet nextday and start recording together! That was the beginning of a fruitful one year of co-creations. Within a week Dimash started working with Krutoy at his studio in Moscow. That year Igor celebrated this birthday throughout the whole year. He invited Dimash to perform in all his concerts: from Moscow to Dubai to New York and more. Igor composed lots of songs, especially for Dimash. Igor was one of the 5 richest men in Russia. So he would rent the concert halls for his shows everywhere. It was an epic year for Dimash.

Greetings from Russia Richard and Johnny. Thank you for the reaction to the unique Dimash. Really Dimash is the Avicenna of today, healer and healer of the soul, he has a high peacemaking mission, through music and his natural nobility, Dimash brings humanity to a new high spiritual level, it is tangible. Remarkable Dimash Kudaibergen his name in literal translation from Kazakh language means -God-given, mom Dimash - Svetlana, - light, dad Kanat in translation means wings, if you add together all the data of the family gets God-given on the wings of light.Fact.

Love is like a Dream! and The Love of Tired Swans both are beautiful and possibly different than from you've heard from him. PLEASE, PLEASE do multiple songs again. I'll definitely learn how to make a donation for all your work. This has been a fantastic evening with the two of you. BTW, Richard, I'm a neuroscientist who specialized in neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and neuroelectrophysiology and would enjoy explaining to you about how the speech and singing develop between the brain and the neurons (brain cells) send out axons (how information/control is sent from the neuron and innervates individual muscles. There is a constant extending and retraction that occurs during development. The more languages, types of singing in multiple languages and techniques are perfected, the axons strengthen their attachments to specific muscle fibers. As you can see, even at 28, Dimash continues to learn and perfect different folk singing and techniques, and they continue to get better. One of the most obvious techniques you can hear that he continues to get better at is a technique call CAPRINO: a goat sound, rapidly beating vibrato that sounds like a trill or a bleating of a goat. At first he started the bleating slowly and continued to increased the rapidity. Now he can immediately enter into a rapid caprino. So, you would actually need his brain and the neural innervations (axons that innervate different muscle fibers in different locations in even one fiber. I hope you found this interesting. Let me know if you have any questions. However, as a person gets older, they do lose muscle mass and some vocal skills, it's apart of the aging process. However, as you could see when Placido Domingo sang, he could still sing beautifully, but this takes consistent practice, staying physically healthy and great genetics!

Dimash recorded this live in his studio for the Tokyo Jazz Festival 2020 because of travel restrictions due to Covid 19. He also did Samaltau, and I think River of Love. That last one is an instrumental with Dimash playing the dombra. It is a beautiful piece, and Dimash still commands the stage sitting cross-legged and playing the instrument without saying a word. By the way, there is nothing wrong with your head. It is shaped perfectly and you look great. Yes, that was Igor, and heard Dimash for the first time. This performance caused Igor to come out of retirement to compose music for Dimash.

I've just watched a video with interviews of professionals that have worked with Dimash. Among others, I found out the story of how came for Dimash to sing 'Across Endless Dimensions'. This song was composed by Piergiuseppe Zaia for his sci-fi movie 'Creators - The Past'. Zaia said it was originally composed for orchestra. Then, his team found Dimash and suggested to have him sing the song. Zaia said he had to use 3 singers to put the piece together to present it to Dimash, and that there are some high notes that even the soprano couldn't hit.

This was Dimash's 2018 guest performance at the New Wave competition held annually since 2002 at the New Wave Hall in Sochi Olympic Park. The band A-Studio is originally from Kazakhstan. The keyboard player, Baigali Serkebaev, composed the song together with the poet Ilia Reznik, and the song was first performed in 1998. The singer of the group A-Studio passed away in 2015, and in this concert, the group was backing up guest vocalists. The triangle man is multi-percussionist Ilya Pokrovsky, a very talented man and a close friend of Dimash, and a member of the Dimash team (DQ Team). He plays various percussion instruments and accompanies Dimash in all his concerts. Someone explained that the special tribal riff is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and other parts of Asia. A similar technique is also used in some parts of the Middle East. It is referred to by some as a "glottal stop". We use it too when we say "uh oh". A Kazakh KZfaqr commented that Dimash used a Kazakh singing technique, called 'komeymen aytu'. You can hear it among the Turan Group. Sakha people use this technique too; they call it 'kylyhah'. I read somewhere that the tribal vocalization was a tribute to the deceased singer, as it is similar to a technique usually used by women in Kazakh funeral ceremonies. The final run is 21.73 seconds on one breath. This competition was organized by the man in the white shirt who stood up in the first row, Igor Krutoy, a famous Ukrainian/Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter. He invited Dimash to perform and it was this performance that prompted him to come out of retirement and compose masterpieces for Dimash to sing, such as I Miss You, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Stranger, and Ave Maria, just to name a few. Since this concert, he has been collaborating with Dimash, writing music with his vocal range in mind, and often accompanying him on the piano. So you'll see more of him.

oooooh his dogwood to Yola didn't send me a notification about the live stream!! Greetings from Hungary! You brightened my day, which started badly. I felt the need to come up to YT and see,,, all my pain was gone immediately. The Placido Domingo duet was recorded in Hungary at the Liszt Academy in Budapest, where Dimash spent a week in December as one of the jurors of the classical music talent show Virtuosos. (this competition was broadcast on television in 5 countries - including the duet we saw here, it was fantastic, the full broadcast is on the YT channel of Virtuosos) Dimash is at home in every genre, every key, every style, and I had never met a singer like this before I met him, even though I've been a music fan for 30 years. In addition to all this, as you said, he is an infinitely humble and intelligent man. I can have the happiness of finally seeing and hearing it live here in Budapest at his concert here in Budapest on 4 May. I'm sure I'm going to have the experience of a lifetime. Thanks for this reaction marathon, (I could have lasted longer 🤣🤣 ) I always look forward to and really enjoy your reaction.
