also at the end if this audition, the chief judge Liao Chang-Yong, who is himself a world renowned baritone, commented that it is incredulous that ZS was not formally trained as a countertenor, even though he was classics trained as a tenor at the Lviv Conservatory. He commented that ZS was a born natural countertenor, he’s so amazed. at the end of the entire program, even though ZS did not win per se, he specially invited ZS to CCTV’s prestigious spring gala concert, because he admired not only ZS’ abilities, but also his humble and thoughtful character and attitude.

There are some other songs that you should see, Niko Niko this was for a computer game, Unravel that is in Japanese, Poison that was for a stage play-has English subs, Shallow watch the live Fancam one and Cliff Walker, the one were he is in red. Also in 2014 when he went on Voice of China which was the first time he stepped on a stage he only lasted I think 2 eps because back then they didn't know what to do with a voice like his, it was unheard of and he was voted off by the judges. Before that he self taught himself to sing by listening to hours and hours of all genres of music and singing. During school holidays, he wud fly back to China to work part time, and started his own livestream to sing but never dared reveal his face for several years bcoz he did not want to be called a sissy bcoz of his feminine voice. After he gathered many fans who wanted “him” to reveal his identity. He took the risk and reluctantly did. Middle school onwards through the time he was a dentistry student were the hardest time of his life, wondering if he ever be accepted as a singer and being thot of being weird. We’re glad he persisted and is now finally doing very very well and confident. However, with his success, everybody want a piece of him. Though he cherishes every opportunity to be on stage singing, he does not know how to say no, to set his priorities correctly. Someday, he’s going harm his physical self and have a meltdown.

Thank you for reaction! I too "stumbled" across Zhou Shen accidentally a few days ago and have been looking for everything he ever recorded. He's got an extraordinary vocal range and a particular one of a kind resonance that another reviewer likened to the reverberations from a Tibetan bell. I hope we can all enjoy much more of this reportedly modest, funny, humble, and kind singer!
