Henk is a proper opera singer and that is how it is done. This was the first time Henk Poort ever used distortion on his voice. Floor was so happy and honored by his decision to attempt it on this performance. Loved it!

@@sharmvlog Amazing that you did not know or notice that. The Valkyrie queen of symphonic metal has done a TV show on dutch TV where she sang 6 solo's with and two duets with covers of song important to the other participants. This duet with Henk Poort being one of them. She also did several incredible pop and Disney covers from home during the pandemic. Al very different than from her metal performance at Wacken 2013 with Nigthwish She was of course 6 years older on this video and not dressed as a Valkyrie.

Last year I participated in fundraising for Floor to be able to record her solo show in Amsterdam and it was pushed back to September of this year and she has started to finally release the performances on her KZfaq channel, one per week in great 4K video and superb audio, so I would recommend a couple of duets with Henk for Dangerous Games from the Jekyll & Hyde musical and my favorite Sweet Curse from her days with her previous band ReVamp.

During this COVID lockdown they also did "Dangerous Game (Jekyll & Hyde cover) both in their own surroundings (big bow the men who put that together!), worth listening. The fun is of course that Floor is a metal singer, and the rythm is adapted from the Phantom the way Nightwish used to play it, before Floor joined that band. Henk is doing some growling, which amuses Floor very much.

Great reaction! Don't listen to all of the haters here. Also, the reason Henk put rasp in his voice on his second verse was for Floor. He knew they use that in Metal and did it for her. You should check out her first song on this show, Vilja Lied. It is an Opera song that Henks mother sang to him when he was a boy. She rocked it up a bit and sang it in it's original German language. If you do more of the songs from this show try to find the ones where it includes the talking, where they show them sitting around the couches before the singer gets up to sing (and after). I know Jenniezelf has some on her channel. Just look for the ones that say English Subtitles in the title because when they talk on this show it is in Dutch. It really adds alot to the video.

You might want to listen to a young Russian singer - Diana Ankudinova who is 18 years old in this video, singing a very unique cover of Elvis Presley's Can't Help Falling In Love. She's a contralto, and a commanding stage presence. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g5OqoadntrHGops.html Diana (dee-ah-na) was abandoned by her abusive mother at the age 3 and placed in an orphanage, diagnosed with cognitive impairment. Her adoptive mother had her enroll in singing lessons to help with some speech problems due to abuse and neglect. Her singing talent was immediately noticed and the rest, as they say, is history. It's a safe prediction that you'll have goosebumps and say that's the most unique voice you've ever heard.

I've met people who have amazing skills that they don't use for let's just say their "job" you think wow they would be great mechanics, carpenters, etc. I think man their talents are wasted..And then there are people who are absolutely doing what they have been put on earth to do! That is what I feel when I listen to Floor, she is using her full potential and talent without waste and its truly beautiful to watch those people! It's a gift to all of us to hear her. She is on another level a category all her own.

She sings Rock, Dead Metal (growls), Symphonic Metal, Heavy Metal, Pop, Opera and Arias. She is the best female singer of all the times. She currently Nightwish band's singer. You can sing ? awesome ! Henk Poort the male singer began his carreer as a fully trained Bariton Opera singer, don't worry. He was 62 or 63 there and now 65 and and performes with Floor still when she does her solo Show (here in The Netherlands).

@@sharmvlog I might have got the wrong end of the stick, the Best Zangers show uses pitch correction but I thought it was mentioned somewhere in this video that while the show uses it, they didn't use it on Floor because she never needs it but I thought they at least implied that Henk might have been corrected a little. I agree with you on the vibrato of Henk, but what I understand that is something that comes with age (Henk is 65 or so...) given that I think he still does great... And Floor is really great in duets! Is suggest "Sancta Terra" by Epica (live retrospect show with full orchestra) where Floor sings a gorgeous "classical" duet with her BF Simone Simons

Hello from the Netherlands . Henk Poort was THE Dutch Phantom of the opera from 1993 to 96 that is why Floor wanted to sing that Duet with Henk . live versions of it have also been included in Hank and Floor's shows. and what you MUST SEE is their cover of "Dangerous Game" this video was recorded separately during the corona measures Floor recorded in her home studio and Hank in a studio in the Netherlands and then mixed together into ONE video. Dangerous Game also has live performances recorded from their shows, but watch the video first. Sincerely Hollandduck from the Netherlands

Maybe it is time to check out EPICA with Simone Simons. Simone and Floor are maybe the best singers in Metal (and Floor of the universe). Simone's voice is magic. If you want something completely different and likely has 0 people who have done a reaction video on. I highly suggest doing : live at budokan March Of The S.O.D.- Sargent ''D'' & The S.O.D. It's classified as NYC Hardcore or just thrash metal. If you react to this one you'll find a whole LOT to react to.. You will see a 300lb man do something he shouldn't be doing! It's "flippin" awesome! And if you watch closer as he's getting back onto the stage you'll hear and see what he does along the way while he's bulldogging it. The reason I know this happened is because I was there and witnessed it 1st hand.. And they let the crowd know it was being video taped at the time so.. If you want obscure and awesome this is it!

If you want to react to a not particularly well known but brilliant band (IMO) band I would recommend Seo Linn with their performance of - Óró Sé do Bheatha Bhaile, they are a Irish band and a lot of their songs are sung in Irish.

Please react to Dimash Kudaibergen singing "Adagio" from the singer competition 2017. This guy has an 6 octave range and he is trained since the age of 5 years old. I only ever give my honest thoughts and feelings in the moment, unfortunately they will not always please everyone as we all have different tastes. By the end of the video though I grew to enjoy and appreciate his voice with Floor's 💜
