In this video, I show you an easy Math trick that you can use to read anyone's mind! All that you have to do is make them choose a number between 1 and 10, and have them go through a series of mathematical operations using that number. If they have done the Math correctly, they will end up with 3 as their final number! It's actually not a real magic trick, but it simply uses Math to lead the person to end up with the number 3, regardless of the first number that they chose to start with!

I think we can put it this way: x*2*5/x-7 which obviously is equal to 10-7 since we have taken the only unknown (which is the number selected by someone else) out of that equation. We can try other numbers as well. For instance, let them multiply the number they chose by 3 and 5 and, following the same pattern, tell them the answer is 8. It is a funny trick though.

I was hoping you would save me the trouble of figuring out how it always has thre as the answer. No matter what you start with. I know how to do it. But how does it always go to 3 or with what you said to 8.

Also, you can change the -7 to -6. Then it always comes to 4. You could mix these up so people don't realize it keeps ending in the same number. That would be the best thing to do. Otherwise, you can only do it to a couple of people at let's say a party. Before they notice it always ends in the same number

I know how its done.... You multiply a number with 2 and 5 means you multiply it with 10 and divides by that number. So you definitely get 10 and by substracting 7 you will definitely get 3 .

That’s because dividing the answer you picked from 1-10 will always end up as 10, then subtracting 7 will always make it 3.

If u look at it algebraic (btw a=answer and n=number) the it is this a= (n2)5) / n -7 but simplified it is basically a= (n10) /n - 7

Just call your number x. When you multiply it by 2 it is 2x.And when you multiply it with five it is 10x. 10x divided by x is always 10.And when you subtract 7,It is always 3.Every Single Number.Even with complex,irrational numbers.It is just basic algebra.I think it is not that impressive.

You just multiply by 10 and then divide by the original number, so you always get 10. Then you subtract seven so it will be 3. I don’t think people will be fooled.

Multiplying with 2 and then with 5 is basically multiplying with 10.... dividing this new number which is 10 times the original number by the original number....you always get 10... subtracting 7, you always get 3... Still cool trick tho, most of my friends fell for it

Oh nice now I give u a trick: Pick any number B tween 10 and 99. Then add any number u want that’s B tween 1 and 10. Then u have a 2 didgit number so add those 2 didgits 2gether. After adding those 2 didgits 2gether u have a new number so substract that new number from ur total and after that u have 2 ask them 2 take away half of their total. Then ask the person that ur playing with 2 tell u 1 of their didgits. The other didgit will have 2 add with the 1st didgit and equal 9. For example if 1 of their didgits are 5 then the other didgit will B4 B cause 5+4=9. Now u can easily guess their other didgit!

This is really easy to explain. Let say a number that they chose is n. If n•2•5=n•10 and it will = 10n. If 10n/n=10 and 10-7=3

The trick also works on numbers 1-100 if you ask them to multiply by 20, then 50, divide by the original number then subtract 700. Answer will always be 300.

Think of 3 numbers counting by 2 in exact order. Ex. 2,4,6 or 10,12,14 or 22,24,26 Got it? Only the biggest and smallest number that are we going to use. Ex. it's very easy.. you can use any number in operations addition and multiplication.. think of any equation in addition and multiplication like: 5x2=10, 5+2=7, then subtract 10-7=3.. that's the answer..

That's a great "one trick pony" effect. Problem is, when you're asked to do it again, you can't, without the method becoming obvious. Of course, you could just start with a different number for the total and change the math to suit. I think I can come up with a spreadsheet for that. Thanks for the idea.

Yeah...it is pretty basic algebra. When you multiply by 5 and 2 (i.e. 10) and then divide by the original...you're always going to have 10. So you could apply the same principles.

You can switch the problem up by having them subtract any number at the end. Since you’re *always* subtracting from 10, you’ll *always know the answer. So, if you have them subtract 9 at the end, the answer will always be “1”. If you have them subtract “2” at the end, the answer will always be 8, if you have them subtract 6, the answer will always be 4, and so on. There’s another math trick like this that is a bit more complex in its formulation, and thus the reason you can always determine the end number is *very well hidden* , yet I can’t remember the formula. But it’s one that can be changed at your whim, while you still know the answers every time.

You can also swap out the x2 and x5 to whatever numbers you’d like in this equation, in an attempt to further disguise what the actual trick is. Since you’re always dividing by the number the person is guessing, you’re *always* getting the result of (2x5) - 7, or (5x8) - 1, or (13x15) - 8. As long as YOU can keep up with what you’re supposed to be subtracting from in the end, you can adjust this formula in different ways, so long as you stick to the base rules (keeping guessed number and number subtracted at the end between 1-10).

(X) * 2 * 5 / (X) - 7 so this is the algorthim , which is always equal to 10 in this case and then -7 , so always its 3 . So ideally its (2*5)-7 .You can try diff nos like instead of 2 and 5 try with 3 and 4 , (X) * 3 * 4 / (X) - 4 , then its always 12 , then -4 you always end up with 8 .

If your sister chose number 4, then here it is: 4×2= 8 8×5= 40 40:4= 10 10-7= 3 It's still ended up with 3 😀

U do know everything becomes clear when u master algebra... Just replace the number u will choose with a variable then do what he told you... Ex: X times 2 = 2X 2X times 5 = 10X 10X divided by X = 10 10 - 7 = *3!*

All numbers work... For example, 10 times 2 is 20. 20 times 5 is 100. 100 divided by the original number,10 is 10. 10 minus 7 is 3. ALL numbers work.

There's no reason why the number has to be between 1 and 10. It's just algebra! Take the number x, multiplying by 2 gives 2x, then by 5 gives you 10x. Then we are dividing by the original number x so we get just 10. We get 10 here every time and so we also get 3 every time by subtracting 7.
