betterbasketball.com/reaction-... - Without the Read & React Drills, the R&R System simply doesn't work.
In fact, it wouldn't go too far to say that the drills are the system. When you teach R&R to your team, you'll teach each player to react to a specific movement coordinated with all the other players' movements. These reactions are the very core of the Read & React system, and without the drills, your players won't be able to learn how to read and react as a team.
These drills are your offense. Your offense is these drills. It's just that simple.
With this DVD and Manual set, you'll learn how to get all players on the court moving together to take advantage of every offensive opportunity presented -- as a single unit. They'll take their cue from the player with the ball, but every one of them instinctually reacts as a team because of one thing, and one thing only:
The drills.
Your players use the Read & React system by pure muscle memory. It's one of the most effective systems out there when your players have drilled it so much that the reactions are a part of their basic instincts -- when they can't possibly react any other way to the actions of the ball handler or the defense laid out before them.
If they haven't drilled, they'll have to pause, gather their thoughts, and figure out the next action. In basketball, the half-second it takes to do that can break an offensive play without any effort at all. You don't want that to happen to your team.
This DVD and Manual set includes:
30 Fundamental Drills from DVD 2 of the R&R System with added explanation and demos
15 brand-new Double Combo Drills that combine two layers of R&R technique
15 brand-new Triple Combo drills that link three or more layers into a game flow
Bonus section of 5-player Drills
140-page Drills Manual that diagrams and extensively explains the 60 drills demonstrated in the DVD
With the drills, your team reacts so naturally, fluidly and effortlessly that you'll have the other team wondering if your players can read each other's thoughts.
With the Read & React drills, they very nearly can.
