He moved to the West, married Betty in 1938, and began a business during their 80+ year marriage. Wow, during their 80+ year marriage, the Markoffs raised two children, travelled to Mexico, China, Japan, and the Soviet Union, and walked three miles a day together into their ninth decade before Betty passed away in 2019.
