Well she's got a full head of steam, her fire is light, level, and bright, and the fall foliage is in full swing! The Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway's Autumn Leaf Excursions brought Reading, Blue Mountain & Northern 4-6-2 "Pacific" #425 to the helm of two weekends of excursions for 2015 through the picturesque Anthracite Country between Port Clinton, PA to Jim Thorpe, PA (formerly known as Mauch Chunk). Wearing the whistles of two iconic classes of 4-6-2 "Pacifics", the sounds of both Reading Company G2 and Pennsylvania Railroad K4 passenger engines echo off the surrounding hills, as if the ghosts of the local fallen flag railroads themselves were singing through her.
