The Reading & Northern puts on one of the best shows in steam railroading today. Watch as the #425 leads its train through the beautiful Lehigh River Gorge - navigating the rugged terrain by twist and turn, over bridges and through rock cuts, all while climbing steadily uphill. The locomotive is a feast for the senses, in a distinct blue livery with silver trim along with its signature eardrum-splitting exhaust, it is hard not to notice when 425 passes you by.

Reading and Northern 425 is used on special occasions for various excursions on the R&N's vast 300-mile system, and on select dates it can be found powering the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway's regular trains based out of Jim Thorpe, PA.
