When I was getting into writing and producing, I would look at reviews of bad songs so that I could see what not to do, and articulate exactly what was going wrong in a track. I'm not saying I'm some big famous artist or producer but I don't understand when young bands put out music that isn't in time, or in key. Budget for recording and making a video is one thing, but those 2 concepts are like the main things to understand when writing/playing in a band. The metalcore artists they're "inspired" by certainly wouldn't release shit. Also, the "lol I suck but I thought id send it to u anyway :P" vibe is tired. It never works, it just makes you look lazy. We are here to listen, not to give you a kneejerk compliment because you self-deprecated from the start.
