I read AB 3rd in the series. Let me tell you when I first read "My name is Sam Cortland... and I will not be afraid" SOOOOOBBING. Even though I knew the outcome the whole time- still wasn't ready.

Just realised I read this series the romantic way, didn't know there was any other way 😅 And yes, it was a soul-crushing gut punch, figuring out who Sam was and what happened to him. I cried so much.

Throne of Glass holds a special place in my heart! I hadn’t picked up a book since early high school (avid fanfic reader though) and watching Cari talk about SJM had me buying the whole ToG series. Happy you are covering this!

okay i regret watching now 😭😭 i just finished acowar and im planning to start on tog series (as recommended) only problem is i have every book in the series except assassins blade 😩i had to stop reading it on kindle bc my vision was getting bad (i probably need glasses hehe) and god i wish i could forget every bit of information you fed me 😭😭 i looked up the fannart.. MY HEART IS TORN OMGOD! 💔💔 yeah i can already tell this is going to tear me apart.

Im not a sjm stan anymore (acotar was just too much for me i am rhyands biggest hater im so sorry rhys stans) but throne of glass will always hold a special place for me, even if i don't read her books anymore, and i love listening to recaps of the series so i can enjoy them agaon without having to reread all of those big ass books 😭

@@fantasyfixations so excited for the series of videos! My favourite is acomaf, I looove the tension between Feyre and Rhys! I also have a thing for crescent city because it mixed two of my main interests; murder mystery and fantasy 😍 which is your favourite of the books?

ahh yes I love acomaf!! Rhys was my favorite until I read TOG. I liked the idea of CC a lot, I think the world building and plot just aren't my favorite that she's done. But I'm excited to see how everything ties together, and I like Bryce being at the center of it!! I genuinely love the TOG series as a whole so much, but my favorites are probably Heir of Fire, Empire of Storms and Kingdom of Ash. There are so many characters I enjoy and different groups that are so fun to watch grow/change, it's hard to pick lol

@@fantasyfixations I think he becomes a bit too glorified in the latest books, I prefer a grey character! I'm also excited to see how the stories intertwine, I can't really imagine how it would work 😅 That's interesting, it's not at all how I felt reading tog. Actually I can't really discern the books, they seem to be repeating themselves if I remember correctly. Might give them another shot after your videos on them!

If you say chaol, we can’t be friends. Hot take he should have died in queen of shadows. The rest of the series he was not needed. All that happened in the others books would have happened without him.

haha no, i'm a dorian girlie for life! he only grew on me when he was falling for yrene, but that still got a little messy for my tastes. a lot of people say he is "the most human/believable" of the characters but i just felt like he was wishy-washy and hypocritical. the fact he could find it in himself to love dorian always but only wanted celaena when she was fulfilling his idealized version of her drove me insane. i'm forever thankful dorian called him out on the bs!!

it's not kale!! dude, i know. I read the last 4th of the book in one day, and it took me like a week to fully recover before I could start something else.
