I have to say, the way you changed the lyrics so that it’s completely focused on Varian, really shows Varian wasn’t the bad guy, he was just driven to do bad things out of desperation to save his father, which lead to so many people labelling him as the bad guy. His fall to evil wasn’t something he ever thought he would do or wanted to do, it was something that was just forced out of him.

Poor Varian, my heart breaks for him. I am getting a bit worried though, we haven't seen him at all this new season. Wonderful cover!

I like how you got around the "only have one singer" hurdle by changing it to the kid's point of view, it gives you a better look into how he thinks and feels and shows that he's just a desperate kid trying to do what's right. True story: I listened to this song as an AMV out of context before finally taking the time to watch Tangled’s Animated Series. This song is the epitome of all good intentions but worst timing and any decisions to change this outcome go back too far to be fair to any of the involved parties. For this version of the song… it hits home just how how much bad decision making can come from all the right places and reasonings. People make choices, but to ask them to take a 3rd person omniscient point of view when they are 1st person involved is an impossible ask. All this to say you’ve done a wonderful job! This definitely is going into my likes and favs!
