The Unioned Spider Actually the animatronics see you as a metal endoskeleton without its costume on so when you put on the mask they think that you are an animatronic and they go away Otherwise they stuff you into a suit because on the game over screen you can see yourself with a freddy head on looking at freddy meaning you were stuffed

Ami Beth Cross It means they have the same face but it doesn’t mean the guy is an imposter of Freddy. Freddy notices the mask & assumes it’s a different person, just like how people sometimes look like a specific parent like a son looking like his dad.
