Hello Ramy! When it comes to the battery and electronics latch, you could have considered a redundant design where it opens in the opposite direction, thus meaning a failure of the latch wouldn't lead to it flipping open mid flight as the air flowing over it would keep it more-or-less closed. Just my thoughts. Fantastic build regardless!
@jovanblackman26083 ай бұрын
My thoughts exactly. The hinges should've been on the opposite side.
@user-mx3uc8mk7c3 ай бұрын
I agree. With what he flies I was surprised thT put the hinges on the rear of the hatch.. Fred Weaver

I made the same comment before seeing yours! I agree!
@Orion400003 ай бұрын
@@fanflv This guy has skills that I can only dream of as a large-scale scratch-builder, so I assume that he had a good reason for hinging that access panel at the back. But nothing about that board/battery tray would need to be hinged at the rear for access purposes, even if he was planning on modelling a cockpit. I'd love to hear from the man himself, (and I doubt I will) but I would guess that it was to increase the width between the hinges for strength? I need to know, because ths really seems like a nonsensical choice.

Thank you Rami for the magnificent plane. I live in Ukraine and before the war I was involved in aircraft modeling; I learned many interesting techniques for building aircraft models from you. Amazing project! That top-hatch WILL open at some point, WHEN the latch fails. There is lift along the top, and you will then get a giant speedbrake. With your experience there must be a reason for hinges aft. Good luck!
@JoseArzacSolis3 ай бұрын
Yes, I was wondering the same thing. What is the reason for putting the hinges aft?
@relentlezz3 ай бұрын
Closer to the center of gravity maybe?
@ScarabChris3 ай бұрын
I 'm not an RC plane hobbyist or in aviation and I thought the same. My guess for the aft hinge is because if it opened forward it might get in the way while doing work in the plane. I think a front hinge with the ability to easily remove the entire hatch when doing extensive work inside would have been a good compromise.
@MickB2353 ай бұрын
