Thanks for this video! I got this for my son's birthday and we've never had an r/c boat before. I wanted to test it before going out to the lake and couldn't figure out why it was beeping! Amazed this boat knows if it's in the water! We got it as a starter boat for the self righting ability, no swimming after it lol

Love it! I remember getting a Blackjack 17" and my buddy got a Miss Geico 17" years ago and we'd race them against each other in the local park. Good memories!

Can you use in brackish water want one for my birthday I had a react 9 a while back it was the best thing I’ve had 😂😂 so fun! Keep up the great products

That safety feature is cool. I wish my sonicwake 36 had that bc I nearly cut my leg when I hit the throttle carrying it by accident.

I have one of these, the 9" Sprint Jet, River Jet 23, and a 17 Power Boat Racer and the React 17 is by far the best bang for the buck. Not even close. It's hella fun for a $100 RTR boat. If you switch the battery connector and run a 50-100C 2,000mah 2S lipo it has a bit more power and runs for a while. The only complaint is the 3 hours charge times with the stock charger and batteries, which is why I switched to EC3 and lipo.

Good review. Seems like a good buy compared to some of the more expensive ones my girlfriend and I were looking at. We will probably end up getting a pair of these and extra batteries. It seems that there isn't really anything out there in the mid price range that has decent reviews and is reliable.

If somebody wanted to upgrade this to the recoil 17 system would the water sensing require modification? Or is it a feature that can be turned off?

I only have saltwater by me, what extra steps would I need to take to maintain the boat. I would rinse it thoroughly after each run but what else should I do to keep it running well and avoid damage?

Re-oil any/all bearings after you flush with water. That is pretty much it :).

Got mine and went for a first run. Minutes later the propeller just came clean off. Had to find it later that night hoping it would drift to the shore which it did, thankfully! So far I'm a little bitter but let me put the spare prop that came with it and see what happens next time.

Make sure your battery is secure and not slipping back and forth inside. I had that problem and when I hot glued Velcro to the battery and also some to the inside of the boat part that holds it in . The problem was fixed and self righting worked. You need to move the throttle trigger back and forth to to get it to self right.

Hi I bought mine recently, noticed I was getting a decent amount of water droplets inside the hull. What can I do to prevent water from getting inside?

GO to your local RC shop and ask to buy RC boat water tape. It solves that issue

Yeah we tried the whole throwing it in the water thing. Short end of the story my son had to go out in the water to get it.

great video my friend, i just got this awesome boat today and i am ready to rock and roll tomorrow, i already have a Vector 30 and is an amazing boat and super heavy duty and reliable but the only downside is that is too small

How long does it take to charge the battery that goes in the boat?

The stock charger takes quite a while (probably 30 minutes). We recommend either having one or two additional spare batteries OR purchase a high-end charger that can charger at a faster rate.

@@horizonhobby battery charging is much longer than 30 min I would say 2-3 hours. but still great fun, we have 2 batteries already. bought this after the Miss Geico 36 to have a rescue boat. but with my kids we really have fun running this little monster ;-)
